Did it catch your eye?

It was on the right side of the entrance inside; the second theatrical poster with Bane was there side by side with it. I mean... up close in person, in looks somewhat better; but just the overall execution of it... there's no excuse for releasing a poster so recycled, unoriginal, and ultimately pathetic. :down

Mind-boggling how that made it through.

The best thus far, that has less photoshop than the other ones, would have to be the 'Batman vs. Bane' banner.
Absolutely. But even then, I would've preferred it if Batman was standing up straight, and both of them had their arms at their sides (like the beginnings of a Western standoff).

That about sums it up; I'm glad we got some many great posters, banners, photos, and tv spots this week. The promotion definitely lifted off! But it was a just a process of it all really: my brother showed it to be me first. We both liked it, under the impression it was some kind of manip due to it's familiarity I've seen with other photos and the actual poster. But when I found out it was real, I got just a horrible sinking in my stomach. I just don't see how someone could release a poster like that and be proud of it, especially for something as eventful as TDKR.

There's just nothing to admire about it; I just feel nothing for it.

I don't see how it got approved. The people who have made posters for all of Nolan's movies seem to make it some kind of brilliant piece of art. This looks like a high school photoshop project or something crappy on the back of a cereal box. It's aggravating and disappointing.

Bane looks like he's reciting Shakespeare. Or preparing to re-enact "The Hills Are Alive" from The Sound of Music :funny:.

Also, look at the right side of that 'standoff' banner....how the 'Dark Knight Rises' title goes behind Bane's head...but in front of a henchman's head who is considerably closer in the foreground.

WTF?

He does look rather Priscilla Queen Of The Desert there.

:lmao:

The only good thing to come out of the theatrical poster was the pages of hilarity that ensued. I was fuming the first hour after it was released, but by the end of the night my face was sore from laughing so much :funny:.

I honestly think it's partially a scheme to f*** with us and get the band back together. :hrt:

:funny: They did a bad job on the other characters.

Why do people on the Internet tend to have more of an eye for inconsistencies and shotty photoshop work than the damn professionals ?

That's not so bad, it's not like it's really meant to be there.

Much worse problems in the other posters, like Officer Foley and his 4 clones, or the hundreds of bullet casings flying alongside the Batpod.
But these guys have a limited number of sources to work from, and a limited amount of time, I don't have a problem with any of them really.
