-Intermission-

:awesome:

:awesome: ^This would be amazing!!! 5-10 minute intermission for a 3hour 10 minute epic movie. total of 3 hours 20 minutes. Maybe they could just skip all movie trailers! i would be onboard for this!

I find myself believing the 3 hour plus news. I'd really love it and want it to be true. But in any case, I'm sure we're in for a good length movie and Nolan will know best.

Just got caught up after being gone awhile. A 3 hour runtime? Would be fantastic if proven true. In fact, that seems like a plausible runtime, like 3 hours or 2 hours 45 minutes, something like that.

I mean let's look at what has to be covered: Gotham needs to be established as doing well at the begining. It takes time to establish that. We also need to show that Bruce hung up being Batman and see how he is coping with that loss. Selina needs to be somewhat established, as does Catwoman. Blake and Tate also need some time to be established before the storm hits as well.

Then you have the intro of Bane, his fight with Batman, and his defeat of the police. The rounding up of the wealthy and the systematic takeover of the city. Bruce shipped away to the well of recovery far, far away. Time would need to be spent there, establish what the prison is (and it does have some importance to either the league or Bane). While doing that show Gotham decay under Bane's rule. The establishment of a vigilante force of cops, led by Gordon, who try and fight against Bane.

Training Montage! Then Bruce returns, Fox helps him, and there is the massive daylight fight for the fate of the city to cap things off. Plus, consider there will be flashbacks sprinkled throughout showing both Bane's and Talia's past.

Yep, 3 hours sounds about right. Nolan certainly has the clout to force WB to accept a 3 hour final cut. Personally, I am all for allowing the film to be the runtime it needs to be to tell the story properly. In any event, we should know soon the final runtime. Probably in late June or so.

To think we were worrying about a film that was under 2 hours not long ago :funny:

Imagine if it's so long they have to have an intermission in between viewings? I wouldnt mind!!

:awesome:

If there is enough happening in those 3 hours, compelling storytelling and dialogue, the time will fly by. The final installment being that long because the story demands it. I'm all in!!

I have no problem sitting until my boxers start to get moist. Just bring one of those hemorrhoid air pillows :funny:

I for one will be too distracted by my most anticipated film of the year to notice the buttpain. :o

I know for a fact most of my female friends will NOT go and see this movie now... :funny:

The Dark Knight bored the t*ts off them.

All the attractive females i know only liked TDK for Heath Ledger, im gonna tell them Tom Hardy is in it to get them to see it with me, not gonna tell them his wearing a mask though,

It's funny. The way the cahse seems to pan out in TDKR (i.e. the aerial tracking shot) is exactly the way I pictured the end of TDK being when I heard about Bats being chased by the cops at the end.
