So the 3hr+ running time is confirmed then?...

Well, what it comes down to is was his (now deleted) tweet an exaggeration? How would it be handled in IMAX as long movies in that format have used intermissions in the past so they could be played?

What is known is that his wife is a dialect coach who saw the script and also worked with actors like Bale in the past and he tweeted that she was with Cotillard in Pittsburgh over the summer. He said she saw the current cut of the film yesterday and she has said before in the past she's often brought in to review final cuts.

All the attractive females i know only liked TDK for Heath Ledger, im gonna tell them Tom Hardy is in it to get them to see it with me, not gonna tell them his wearing a mask though,

I remember when I went down to Farringdon to see if I could see any of the filming going on, and a bunch of ladies came up alongside me and became all flustered and excited when someone told them Tom Hardy was in the film, lol. :D

I know for a fact most of my female friends will NOT go and see this movie now... :funny:

The Dark Knight bored the t*ts off them.

:lmao: Same. If the Joker wasn't on screen they didn't care. FOOLS! :argh: I'll try and tempt them with Hardy. They did go see This Means War after all. :whatever:

Ah, ok. So no real confirmation, but theres sems to be a few things pointing in its favour. Thanks for the update, Magnar.

Posters, banners, news overload!!

I'm loving it!

I have friends who were **** bored with TDK too and couldn't wait to get out.

I'm offering to pay for their tickets to see TDKR but they're worried that it'll be "too long again". :down

Just read the about the MTV announcement. Nice with new footage and some of the cast presenting it! Great marketing move too.

They are not human. :o

Most of my friends don't really like any of the Batman's.

Same here.

I love my family though. They're all excited specially my dad. :D

Oh I MADE my dad watch them all. :woot:

My Dad watched Batman 89 in the cinema the year before I was born... He said he liked it but if he only knew he would have to see it a million times over the next 20 years... :funny:

I figure everyone needs a little Batman in their life.

Just a thought about the 3 hour runtime and the seemingly early review by MPAA.

It's possible WB submitted a longer cut of the film for review to know with absolute certainty if anything would need to be removed before they get too far into the editing process. Movies don't often get longer in editing, as time goes on they are trimmed down and tightened up. It seems possible to me that they've been working with a longer cut but don't intend on it actually being 3 hours.
