I’m used to the process because you go to Chris’ house and you sit and read it. And I’m a phenomenally slow reader. And when you that you’ve got the one opportunity to read, I usually read and re-read and re-read, so he couldn’t believe it, I think. Chris kept walking in, thinking, is he asleep? (laughs) We started lunchtime, it got dark, and the family was having dinner. I was still in there with people coming and going, and I was still there (laughs).

:lmao: I LOVE these stories of how everyone reads Chris' scripts.

Everyone in Inception got locked down in a room like common criminals until they were finished reading. HYSTERICAL. :lmao:

Scripts On Tape

Why aren't those out?

Nolan is a meanie. He didn't even invite Bale to join them for dinner. :lmao:

The script must've been long if Bale took that much time to read it. No wonder the film's said to be 3 hours plus long.

He shouldn't have bothered I am sure not many actors in the Inception really know what that movie was about even now. :sleepy:

That's not the first story about Bale reading the script at Nolan's place for 6-7 hours. I think Nolan or Emma told that story too before.

Anyway, great interview! He seems very energized, definitely.

Bale said he rereads things, and not that he's an idiot who can't read. Sounds like me. If I'm reading for pleasure, it takes me 5x as long as it usually does. :funny:

The biggest cinema-chain in my country just tweeted that there should have been news about a Nolan Batman marathon last Friday, but negotiations are ongoing.

Nothing new, but cool that they're on it.

I want to say that one of the places where everyone else would have said was a complete hell hole, was India. When we started the film, we did a couple of days in Jodhpur, and the locals thought we were fu**ing nuts. (laughter) We were out in 120 degree heat, and we would be walking back into this one room where we had air conditioning and go “Ah!” it was like putting your head in a freezer. It was 90 degrees in that room, just to show you how hot it was. I thought it was a great kind of induction by fire, into that whole thing. And of people, we were just having the most ridiculous conversations because of heat exposure by the end of each day. But it was a nice kind of bonding moment, it was very memorable.

Of course he didn't explain further what this "whole thing" was. :argh: But... fire confirmed! :D

I want to hear about this "ridiculous conversations". That's the 2nd time he mentioned it about their trip in India.

I don't think he was literally talking about fire... just the heat. Could be wrong.

I need to hear these heat-stroke fuelled 'ridiculous conversations'. :hehe:

Just to add to this.

Theater chains have been contacted and it doesn't look like it's going to be a chain exclusive event anymore. They may be trying to do this at as many cinemas as they can.

I don't know the whole story but it is indeed running behind in terms of notifying the public. I still think it will happen and I suspect when the tickets go on sale on the 11th it will come with the option to purchase marathon tickets as well.
