You think Zendaya will get it for Challengers? :o

You think Zendaya will get it for Challengers? :o

Currently, she's got competition with Mikey Madison (who's the favorite), Saoirse Ronan, Nicole Kidman, Karla Sofia Gascon, and Angelina Jolie.

Not too surprising since they don't allow any score that sounds too similar to something previous and Zimmer already won it for Dune part 1.

The Monsterverse is no different from the MCU or DC in the vein of big blockbuster franchises that renowned and award winning actors will do for a paycheck or for their kids so I can't fault him for that. After all, he was also in the Beauty and the Beast remake but he was also one of the reasons why it's one of the better Disney live action remakes.
AMEN!

The Grammys are getting a new home after more than 50 years on CBS.

In a major shakeup of the TV awards landscape, the Grammy Awards will move to Disney outlets beginning in 2027. ABC, Hulu and Disney+ will simulcast the music industry honors under a 10-year deal that runs through 2036. The move will also make Disney the home of what are traditionally the two most watched awards telecasts in any given year, with the Grammys joining the Oscars.

CBS will have the Grammys in 2025 and 2026, with the final year marking the end of more than half a century of broadcasting the awards. The network first aired the Grammys in 1973 — George Harrison’s The Concert for Bangladesh won album of the year — and has partnered with The Recording Academy on the show ever since.
In the first year of Disney’s Grammy deal, ABC will feature three of the biggest TV events of the year in quick succession: the 2027 Super Bowl, the Grammys and the Oscars.

Interesting to read that it will be simulcast on a streamer, it's only a matter of time before they do the same with The Oscars.

Do they not already simulcast the Oscars on Hulu? Genuinely curious because I ditched cable earlier this year.

The Grammys and CBS were always a weird combo. “Welcome back, NCIS viewers who haven’t been able to find your remote for the last week and a half. Here’s Kendrick Lamar!”

I think they did it the previous year as an experiment but they didn't do it this year.

Saw Anora today, unbelievable film, Sean Baker does it again.

What they don't tell you from the trailers is it's incredibly funny at times... like Simpsons level comedy. Mikey Madison is def the frontrunner for best actress.

Now see, this is a hosting decision that I can get behind.

Still not watching the Oscars, but I'll at least check for highlights because this is an upgrade over anyone they've had as of recent.

Conan O’Brien Will Host the Next Academy Awards

In their quest to find a host who will generate buzz but not blow up in their faces, Academy Awards organizers have traded a current late-night comedian (Jimmy Kimmel) for a former one: Conan O’Brien.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said on Friday that Mr. O’Brien, 61, would serve as M.C. for the 97th Oscars ceremony, which will be broadcast on ABC in March. Mr. O’Brien left late-night television in 2021 and has since focused on a popular podcast, “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend,” and a spinoff travel show for the Max streaming service called “Conan O’Brien Must Go.”

Holy sh** AT LONG LAST!

lol, years of Kimmel and they suddenly realized there was a better talk show host available.
