Incorrect.

In the original text of the issue where she died, it said that she died on the George Washington Bridge. However, the artwork depicted the Brooklyn Bridge.

Some later reprints showed this fixed this and had the bridge identified as the Brooklyn Bridge but its still up to ones interpretation over what bridge it really should be.

However, all of this is irrelevant because they filmed at the Manhattan Bridge.

BTW, this is the Williamsburg Bridge

Very good post :cwink:

spider-man yanking those two thugs out of the armored car = relatively creative display of spidey's powers (compared to tasm1) by combining his webs and super strength into an offensive move!

good times. good times. more of this kind of thing (which to be honest seems like a no-brainer for a spider-man movie)

also cheers merril for letting us know that spider-man was there at rochester

in all subsequent issues dealing with her death, it shows him on the brooklyn bridge so im going with that as being what counts at this point and basing it on the actual bridge drawn in the picture and in future issues. Nto discounting what you posted, but its obviously been retconned to be the brooklyn bridge.

Anno there were a few specific bridges in the DKR Queensboro is where kids on the bus are on, Brooklyn where he takes an hour or so to paint that flaming bat with gas and then cgi ehnaced versions of other bridges.

Man now that I think of it, did we get any action similar to Spidey webbing/yanking like that in TASM? I remember when he first built his shooters, he yanked one of the thugs resembling the burglar but it was pretty brief.

Matter of fact, when fighting the lizard, his webbing was almost his main way of fighting. Makes me wonder with all these upgrades that they're doing, if they're going to change aspects of his webbing. (i.e. thwip sound, the web line itself, etc.)

yeah he did yank the thug guy but i don't count that because he wasn't really spider-man then; just some vigilante in a beanie.

his web lines should shoot further in this one. that way, webb won't have to rely on cranes and other over head anchor points to allow spidey to swing in more or less a straight line.

if they change the thwip sound i guess it should reflect the presumed increase in power his new shooters afford him, but i thought they sounded pretty spot on in tasm1.

True on all this.
I loved the thwip sound, its my favorite of all the Spidey media. Especially in the car thief scene, it sounds great.
I wasn't too crazy about the actual web line they used when he first successfully emits one. I thought it was a bit too thin. But then again it was a test one.
I was watching Spider-Man 2 today, the scene where he has to stop the train using his webbing to the buildings, and there's shots where you can see him holding the webs and they look like clear licorice. It's pretty bad haha.

lol. the webs in raimi were generally pretty great though. i liked how they had a metallic quality to them; it reinforced the idea that the webs could support a great amount of weight and also took a lot of effort to break free from.

i think the asian lady at the start explains that the webs are like the steel used in suspension bridges.

maybe peter could upgrade his webs (via improving oscorp's formula perhaps?) to mimic raimi's a bit more.

Ahh I slightly remember that (asian lady's explanation). I think the webbing might've changed over the movies, but yeah I enjoyed the metallic-ish webbing in Spider-Man 1. It's apparent in the last goblin fight. I really enjoyed that.

Not sure if we'll get any more explanations on his webbing formula in the sequel but I hope!!

Concerning Rhino, maybe the sequence of events goes like this:

Car chase with Russian mob -> Spidey nabs the mobsters (including O'Hirin) -> They're sent to Ravencroft (which is run by Oscorp) -> Harry comes and picks up O'Hirin from Ravencroft -> The experiment on him with a Rhino suit and the experiment goes wrong

Harry won't be the one picking him up.

Harry might go to Ravencroft, investigating what the hell his father and Oscorp is doing, but he won't have anything to do with the creation of Rhino.

i'm gonna disagree only because i want to see rhino busting out of the back of that armored car lol

it just looks to me like the two russian guys are providing covering fire in order to allow paul giamatti to suit up.

spidey comes, takes out the thugs, thinks he has saved the day only for rhino to bust out the back of the armored car.

be a pretty great action scene overall: armored car robbery with no cop inteference, armored car chase with many cops, stand off between cops and crooks, spider-man intervention, rhino intervention, spider-man vs. rhino.

awwww yeaaaa

It clearly looks like Harry is working FOR Oscorp to me. He looks suspicious, he's getting into Oscorp vehicles. It's much more likely that he's handling Oscorp business than spying on them.

Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooo

She's dressed in the outfit and everything

Guys

I'm so ****ing pissed right now

Why would they even shoot this in public??

Approaching level 10 mad right now.
