Just checked it out. Yeah it's a shame you really can't go to a film's wiki page and not get spoiled.

Its even worse when the embargoes are lifted and the movies start releasing.

The whole plot could be posted before it even releases in your country.

I would prefer it if he had a small role in the film. I think the idea is to introduce him so they can bring him back in future movies.

I did like the Lizard in TASM, but the only issue was that he wasn't fleshed out enough. This is an issue that a lot of origin story villains have, but now that the spider bite has been done, they can focus more on the villains. I really want this movie to have a STRONG Electro (as a character).

Tell me about it. My eyes try to be careful around the MOS threads around this time.

I think that's exactly what they're doing. I strongly believe Electro will be strong in terms of his story, his motivations, especially his relationship with Spider-Man. I think we're gonna see a lot of him.

And then people are going to complain that Rhino was underdeveloped or something like that.

I'm just saying how people have been complaining about the TASM films in every way possible. I agree that Rhino shouldn't have too much screentime but just be introduced into this film universe.

"@MarcW: Day 92. Apparently this is what happens when you stand."

So is the Daily Bugle going to be in this movie at all? Will we see a JJ Jameson in this film?

He won't be a major villian like electro but he will be an obstacle in spideys way, probably for some spidey action in the middle of film

So he probably will have a fair amount of screen time

Rhino won't be a major villian of a spidey film i don't think, so best show us what he can do while the chance is there

It was in the last movie. It could have a presence, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we will get JJ or that Peter will get a job there

I think they'll drop hints through the film, but we won't see Peter working at the Bugle until film #3.
That's my guess. With JJ having fully formed his opinion after two films that Spidey equals villains coming to town, thus he's a nuisance.

Sally Field is just lovely. I liked her a lot in TASM. Especially when she smiles at Peter who brings home the eggs at the end. Looking forward to her dealing with Gwen in TASM2. Should be a good contrast of her wanting Peter to chase Gwen and Peter going over Captain Stacy's statement about leaving Gwen alone.

Welp, I accidentally just found out that "major" spoiler from set pics a while back. I was reading the movie's Wiki page.

Don't worry. That major 'spoiler' is completely unconfirmed and most likely false. Wikipedia lists the source for that piece of info to 'The Hollywood News', and that site lists its source as CBM. If you read the original piece from CBM, they just make a bunch of unsubstantiated claims with no source listed. None of that info has been confirmed or even reported elsewhere. BS.

um... i think he was talking about [BLACKOUT]Capt Stacy[/BLACKOUT].... i have no clue what you think he's talking about... because that one is completely confirmed

Yeah. He was referring to the [BLACKOUT]Captain Stacy rumor[/BLACKOUT], not the [BLACKOUT]"Feore is Toomes; Sinister Six in ASM3" rumors[/BLACKOUT]

Gotcha. Not too much of a major spoiler then, is it?

Where does he say Black Cat. I read through the article, didn't see Sam saying "black cat" at any point. There was this part: "In the interview Raimi confirms that Hathaway was cast in the role of Felicia Hardy" and then the site itself came to the conclusion "ok so it's Black Cat"

To you Raimi seems to be able to do no bad descicions. Maybe Raimi wanted her to be the Vulturess for story reasons and the Sony executives wanted it to be kept as the original & iconic character "Black Cat" which would be better for marketing? I may not have proof of Raimi coming up with the character, but you don't have any proof of your theory either
Who is Felicia Hardy? Jesus Christ on a cracker.......................

If she's the Vulturess (rumor was she was Toome's daughter) why would Toome's daughter's last name be Hardy? Holy crap...

None of you can back up your views with anything other than assumption so keep on keeping on. Don't stop, believing. Hold on to that feeling.

Also, those articles you didn't read, mentioned The Dark Knight Rises and Catwoman. I am sure Raimi was totes scared of using Black Cat with Catwoman likely being in TDKR. Studio execs never worry about that stuff.

On a side note, you blame Webb for horribly editing ASM? Where Ratha died but now didn't in the final cut?

The reports always said from the beginning that the role was Felicia Hardy, but as the Vulturess instead of the original alter-ego Black Cat. It seems that the screen rant-site only knew about the Vulturess alter-ego, and when Raimi confirmed that Anne was gonna be Felicia Hardy, they also came to the conclusion themselves that it also meant Black Cat

Also, some married couples keep both of their original last names. If Felicia's mother was a big figure in the business-world (like she was at least in the 90's animated series), it would absolutely make sense that she'd want to keep her last name and also give it to her daughter to preserve the Hardy-legacy (assuming that in this interpretation that is her original last name)

Look, my point is not to prove that Raimi is to blame for the Vulturess idea. I'm just saying that we cannot know which side came up with the concept. Maybe Raimi came up with it and thought it could serve the story better, and Sony thought it'd be better for marketing to keep the character as the already known and established original version. Or maybe it didn't happen like that. Neither of us has proof, but both ways are absolutely possible. Your view on this is really black and white. To you Raimi, the director/script writer couldn't have possible done any bad calls and the producers can be blamed for everything. It isn't always that black and white

and to answer your last question: Maybe Webb wasn't responsible for the editing mistakes, but even if he wasn't, there's plenty of other bad decisions he could've been responsible for. I don't think Webb is Jesus

I don't even see how it matters and why this discussion is taking place about a film that never was in a franchise that has been rebooted and on for its sequel.

I think it matters to some people because if they think that the producers are responsible for everything that was wrong with the Raimi series, it doesn't make it any better that the cast, director and script writers are new, they are still afraid for the sequels because the same producers are on board
