loads of people actually like TASM better then SM1
I meant from a critics point of viewOnly you weren't talking about the critics. You made a broad statement: "He failed". You generalised
The day of the release and before that, they were mostly positive. And fan reactions for TASM were mixed. You can't just take into account the TASM boards, you have to look further. The crowds' response was something better than lukewarm.
Usually in a origin movie there is no room other things(Villains),even after that Raimi did really well
TASM did almost as well with the origin but fell falt with the Villain in the 2nd half.
Hello!
Its on 59% on RT
Even the likes of TIH,Hulk have a better rating
I highly doubt I am gonna like it after reading the reviews(All action,no substance, heart or emotion,Plactic and uncharismatic lead)

Do you let other people make up your mind on stuff in real life too?
Also I'd take into account some of the most well made and great movies imo dont have a high RT score such as Taken or Blood Diamond which only has 58% and 62% respectively. So yeah RT isnt the be all and end all of if a movie is good or not.

2 things:
a) does anyone else feel that what´s happening now to MoS is very similar to TASM? (mixed reviews , people loving it and some mixed)
b)Do you think the writters can make justice for TASM 2? i mwa n some people tell me they are good and some bad...idk
Because SM1 was imo the perfect CB origin movie. And it was released just 10 years before TASM
TASM had an incredibly hard job to beat it and since the source material was the same, many parts of the movie looked a repeat
Thats what most critics complained about.Webb had no option either,he couldnt have skipped the spider bite,or Ben's death,or the responsibility message. It had to redone if they were to tell the origin again
While Zach Snyder had an empty road, the last superman origin came back in the 80s,he could have moulded him in any way possible. And yet he failed
While it's still too early to tell if Zach "failed", a lot of the positive crowd reactions to MoS have been glowing. I hardly remember even positive ASM reviews being rated as high.
Though, I think Webb made the right choice in fully revisiting the origin in ASM. I remember several users stating how using flashbacks to go over Peter's origin would've been better just for the sake of cutting time. However, one of the more consistent criticisms I've read about MoS are the use of flashbacks. I've read many reviews, even the positive ones that noted how the flashbacks either created a choppiness in the pace and edit of the film and/or created an emotional disconnect with the characters. Regardless, it sounds like the spectacle is having it's way with the audience.
Still..I guess it didn't matter in the end since lots of people also took issue with the way Peter was portrayed so...
Woo! That was spot on. Couldn't have said it better myself.Re-telling the origin in TASM was a good idea IMO. We are establishing an entirely new film universe, and the origin plays into the central theme of the series: the missing parents, Oscorp/Norman Osborn, cross-species genetics, etc. It also had to establish that this is in no way connected to the Raimi films.
Wrong! While it's still too early to tell if Zach "failed", a lot of the positive crowd reactions to MoS have been glowing. I hardly remember even positive ASM reviews being rated as high.
I for one dont like nagging flashbacks every 5 minutes.I hated it in BB and I doubt I would like it in MoSThough, I think Webb made the right choice in fully revisiting the origin in ASM. I guess you missed this ''All action,no substance, heart or emotion,Plactic and uncharismatic lead''
Most of the reviews say that

Wrong!
A lot of people said it was as good as SM2
Exactly. TSSM's style of telling the origin later on in a flashback worked because its an animated series. What works in a cartoon won't necessarily work in a film.
And yes, the parents/Oscorp story is HUGE in this universe.
I liked TASM but I would never say its as good as Spider-Man 2.
same here
this never was the question. because ASM is origin story, not sequel. ASM2 should be at same lvl as Spiderman 2, if it delivers what Webb is trying to do. But at the end with ASM3 or whatever is planed trilogy or more then three movies, will look better then Spiderman 2.
Original Spiderman trilogy never had universe, all three movies together were never connected with anything important in Raimi's story. This trilogy should have that, because everything is planned around Peter Parker and his parents, not Spiderman himself. Spiderman was thrown into that equation to create villains and trials to create and build Peter character, as his own personal life and superhero life. It's special. That is why i love Webb's movies better, started with 500 Days of Summer.![]()
