what do you guys want to see in the way of action sequences? we will obviously get an electro and spider-man fight, if not several, but more specifically, what would you like to witness on screen?
tasm1 has 3 showdowns with the lizard, and besides the guys in the alley, was the only thing for spidey to engage.
personally i am hoping for at least one scene against a bunch of thugs. street crime is where spidey can absolutely own and show off the most. i'm talking about a scene similar to TSSM (the helicopter takedown after removing the black suit, the prison inmate fight in 212, and the goblin henchman scene from the very last ep). in all of these, i was really impressed with spidey's abilities in motion. and let's face it, it is just great to see your hero in his element.
as for electro. i am hoping spider-man isn't as weak at dealing with him as he was the lizard. in tasm1, spidey could barely phase connors once he had transformed. his swing kick off the bridge did not pack a big enough punch imo. lizard kind of fell over, whereas spidey strength should have sent him flying further. spidey's kick off the side of the building, whilst awesome, also did not deliver the kinetic outcome i was hoping for; the lizard just stumbled back a bit. in a word: underwhelming.
now, electro is a villain which one would expect spidey to have to dodge constantly. while this is fine technically, he relied on his agility a lot in tasm1, so i feel it would be nice and refreshing if peter was a bit more offensive. using wrecking ball style attacks would be a dream come true to see.
as for rhino, i think here would be an opportunity for spidey to use his wits and an exploitation of the environment to win.
overall, what i like about spidey when it comes to fight scenes is that thugs he completely owns, whereas super villains he is typically outmatched. i think tasm1 made peter a bit too unmatched however, at least in the strength department, and would like to see a more aggressive, and less defensive, spidey, in tasm2.
anyway, i've rambled on enough. what do you guys want to see?
