For me at least, I don't need to see Spidey fighting aliens or robots; he has a rogue gallery that the films haven't even scratched the surface of. I prefer Spidey alone, not with a group (one of the reasons why I hate the new cartoon). Marvel Studios should concentrate on their characters, I think Sony and Fox should keep Spider-Man and X-Men respectively, to themselves.

how come if u dont mind me asking?
Long story short, I'm not a big fan of MS movies (even though I do like them), plus I always considered crossovers a silly gimmick.

Exactly what I think.

If it happens, I'll be fine with it. But I'm definitely not hoping this fails so that it will happen.

i actually agree with u....the mcu films imo are average at best...i still think marvels best film to date is spiderman 2

I really liked IM, TIH, and CA:TFA, but IM2 and Thor were good; nothing amazing.

I'd totally be on board if they did it well. Yes, spidey is a "loner" in the marvel universe, but that's kind of wht makes his team ups interesting to me. He nearly always feels like the team members are way out of his league, which can create interesting dynamics, and I enjoy team members reactions to his sarcasm.

I don't about you guys, but not once during The Avengers did I say to myself "wow, Spider-Man being in this would make this so much better".

Me neither, I actually don't care.
It'd be cool to see a quick participation, though.

spidey has his own rogues of villians and epic stories of his own to carry out several movies...id rather see full stand alone spidey movies written to their potential instead of having nick fury and the boys drag the story down

You don't need to have shield invade spidey's flims (nor should they) to make him work in an avengers sequel. They could totally toss spidey in as an extended cameo without hindering his own movies.

Hey , just a question[YT]E1AeJAqHSSE[/YT] was the second one released it has a kinda sorta new lizard shot arround 0:50:huh:

I don't think I really want Spidey with the Avengers. They're trying to be realistic with TASM and Avengers was more fantasy. A scientist accidentally turning himself into a reptilian creature by the means of cross-species genetics is a little more believable than aliens coming through a space bending portal and destroying a good chunk of New York. I feel that the tones of these movies are too different and they wouldn't really work together. Unless they somehow reference the Avengers in the TASM, I wouldn't bet on this happening.

story and continuity-wise. how would spider-man fit in the MCU??

i mean would the events in the new spider man film occur before the events of HULK & Avengers? in between?

i mean unless Nick Fury walks in at the end and tries to recruit spider-man.

how would things fit.

in a perfect world i would love for sony, and fox to reboot x-men & fantastic four and make a deal with Marvel and somehow include wolverine, fantastic four and a (properly rebooted) x-men into the MCU.

now that would be really nice. but if we can get spider-man on board that would be cool too.

but how would it work.

Have I already mentioned how much I would hate if Spidey was included in the MCU? If I didn't, here it is.

I'd hate if Spidey was included in the MCU.

It's going to happen so fuel up the hate copter. I have been saying this for over a year now. Sony needs money and Sony and Disney teaming up with their universes means more money for both parties. Spidey in an Avengers movie would make Avengers 2 or 3 more money than without him and if Spidey appears in an Avengers movie then the next Spidey movie would have a huge boost in box office. It's a win/win for both parties. If it didn't happen then it would show the idiocy of those two studios. Good thing is...they both love money and one is in desperate need of money.

I hope so. I'd love to see Spidey in The Avengers. Wolverine too.

Iron Man dispells this logic, I think. Next to Batman, the iron man films are the most grounded super hero flicks, and he worked fine in the avengers. Spider-Man is a movie about a kid who gets spider powers and fights a scientist who turns into a giant green monster. I see no way how that is anymore realistic than a movie where one of the main characters in a scientist who turns into a giant green monster.

For se reason, I feel like these movies will be too personal if that makes sense? I think the story has to be from Spidey's eyes in order for it to work with Spider-man, but thats just me. Maybe others say the same about Cap or IM if one of those guys are their favorites.

No, that's a totally fair assessment. Ignoring all trappings of these movies histories, styles, etc, I agree that having peter be the focus - our viewpoint into the avengers world, would be the best way to handle such a movie.

Marc Webb constantly talks about TASM being set in the same world we live in. Idk, I just think Avengers is a little more far fetch'd than this version of Spidey.

Both are in New York, so it's as close as "our world" as TAS-M can get.

Not saying I would WANT Spidey and the avengers to cross, it'd be cool and the beauty of Marvel, is that the artists all depict NYC differently but you know they all fit in the same universe. Daredevil's NYC looks a little different than Spidey's but they occupy the same space.
