Those Expressions Garfield gives off at "00:04 sec", "00:23 sec", "00:44 sec" & the short one at "00:58 sec"... PRICELESS!

Agreed

Garfield is a really talented actor, his expressions are priceless,he seems equally amused at his powers

This movie will launch him into superstardom

Btw the bubblegum girl was damn cute :D

I have a pretty strong feeling that this happens way before he ever dons the suit. So up until than, I don't think any one thinks of him as being super. More likely just freaky weird. And when he becomes spidey, nobody cares any more.
I guess everyone in this world is brain dead not to tie one or the other.

As for people just forgetting. That seems unlikely.

Spider-Man becomes famous/infamous throughout New York. You mean to tell me no one who was watching that would recollect that freaky weird moment with Parker and not tie together Parker's blatant use of his powers and this superhero that is in the same city and that later ends up saving them from the Lizard at their school?

Eh. You can enjoy the scene. Heck I did too but that doesn't mean that it isn't completely devoid of thought.

There were much worse, much more incriminating moments in the first Raimi film, I don't see why this is an issue.

Looks like they updated the POV scene!

Yup. It looks like it, because it IS updated. Just look at the lenses/eyes. The CG is completely real looking!

And that brief clip of Peter getting punched by Flash in the school yard - Ouch! Bet Flash boy is gonna pay for that one later!:woot:

I really don't see any cheese going on here. I think it fits perfectly. It's charming and cool... And every one knows that as the movie progresses, it'll get more serious. This is obviously from the first act of the film.

Yeah maybe I went too far. So far the only cheesy scene is probably the football scene. I didn't find that basketball scene to be cheesy, but it was borderline cheesy. But then again, I don't find the original trilogy to be as cheesy as a lot of people think. SM3 was the cheesiest, then SM1, then SM2 as the least cheesiest.

Stan lee clip was nice, couple of new snips

Look at the difference of the same POV clip in the teaser trailer and in that interview.Phenomenal

Looks like the team in really worked hard during post production

Didn't bother me in SM1 either when he runs out of the dining hall with a food tray dragging from a web coming out of his wrist as he heads to the lockers where he'll do an octuplet backflip over the school bully and then punch him halfway down a corridor. :)

Actually, I meant We, as in Us, the audience won't care ones he dons the spidey suit. I understand what you mean. But scenes like these where people should be able to put two and two together, has been seen so many times before. A scene like this just doesn't really bother me because of that. But Hey. Maybe Flash dies and confronts Peter in the end, telling him that he figured out he was spidey. Never know :-)

It more blatant to see a guy dashing around with a strand of web connecting his wrist

Still that scene turned out well and the movie was great

I know it was for sure updated. I was just pointing out that it was. :oldrazz:

I knew you were. I meant no disrespect

And thanks for posting :cwink:

I can't be the only one who likes the cheesiness? The basket ball scenes is like one of my day dreams so I enjoed that scene regardless of it showing his powers a tiny bit. The goal post bit was pretty ridiculous though, made me laugh out loud first time.

I'm just liking the way this movie has changed from the darker tone that was shown in the first teaser trailer.

The more clips they release, the more I worry.

I trust Andrew, Emma, Rhys and the rest of the excellent cast, but Marc Webb... not so much. I'm expecting a lot of cheese in this movie.

As if that little display wouldn't make anyone the least bit suspicious that he has super powers. It's so blatant.

Even then I still enjoyed the scene.

Eh, it's nowhere near as bad as the bending the goalpost scene. You'd have to be braindead not to suspect something was up there.

do we actally know flash ever see's spiderman? or even long enough to actally think bout it? or maybe this is peters cocky phase before he becomes spiderman and stops being cockyand tones down his act?

but then again i guy swinging from buildings and fighting a giant lizard... that automaticly screams nerd peter parker ;)

Surely a big part of spidey is the cheese and comedy. right?

Well, Pete still is a kid and he's just using his powers the way an irresponsible kid would.

Remember the whole "With great power comes great responsibility" character arc of Spidey's origin?

Makes perfect sense a nerdy kid who's been picked on uses his powers to get a little revenge.

Yeah.

- Peter catching MJ when she was falling and ALL of her food (and dinner tray) with perfect speed and timing.

- Peter doing backflips and moves from the Matrix in front of a large number of students.

- The webline attached to the dinner tray...

Haha...now people are confused by the cheese because they didnt think it would be in the film so they rationalize their confusion by comparing it to something they feel is worse. Hahaha how sad.

Peter Parker dents a football field goal by throwing a ball at it 100 yards away. "Well at least he didn't dance like Raimi made Peter."

Hahahaha

I wonder if he does anything Baseball & Hockey related in the movie as well ?

I highly doubt the denting the goal post scene is in the movie...in the commercial the post isnt bent when asked "parker do you wanna play football?"
I feel that was a scene they decided not to use and stuck with him just catching it with one hand...
unfortunately the dunk scene is definitely in the movie :(

was the wrestling scene not abit obvious also? i mean he was doing all these stunts in the wresling ring under the name spiderman or the human spider i dont quite remember but after he goes to collect his money without a mask

Peter knew nothing about being a cocky a hole in SM3 and yeah.......well.

The football dent and this is cheese. It's over the top situational humor. I don't hate cheese so I don't mind it. It is hilarious however to see the people that bashed previous cheese eating this up because it's Marc Webb and Andrew Garfield. Cheese is cheese.

Never bashed the previous scene like this(canteen one)
Kids became a spidy fan straightaway after watching that scene, this isnt batman,it isnt a dark movie,it is bound to have its humour and cheesy moments

Look at it this way,Flash had it coming,he hit peter pretty hard in another clip(before he gained his powers),if I was in his place I would do anything to get back at him,Peter does just that,And he probably doesnt know the extent of his powers himself(he looks very shocked after the basket breaks)
If anything is cheesy, its the goal post scene

Its pretty realistic to me
