Andrew Garfield named Green Goblin, Electro, and especially Doc Ock as his favorite Spidey villains. He named Kraven as one of his least favorites lol.

I really like Ultimate so I kinda don't mind. Just as long as we don't get this...

Sloppy reporting. What Garfield actually says about Kraven is:

"That camp lion hunter. [laughs] I like Kraven. I like Kraven a lot."

Yeah, I have no clue why the article says he doesn't like Kraven..I listened to him and said hm ok so where did he say he doesn't like him? I hate sloppy reporting

Love your avatar. They've really done their home work with how Spidey moves.

Thanks! And yes, they really did. I don't care what anyone says about the movie, I'm gonna wait and decide for myself when I see it how I feel about it because tbh, this is looking really good to me.

Those two new TV spots were incredible. Hope the sewer trap was edited that way or it looks like Spidey's method of finding him wasn't working too well.

Based on 54 seconds in of the second spot we're going to see some really fast wall crawling chases going on

Months ago there was this picture of Spidey with a thief with a broken nose (I'm not sure if he was 'Small Knives Guy' or not). We also got videos (from set) from Peter leting Ben's killer run away and that other scene with a thief hanging in web outside the Police Department. At first, I thought the guy hanging was 'Small Knives', but now we saw Spidey run away from the police, I'm pretty sure the guy hanging is Ben's killer. I don't have sources for the pics and videos, but it was all in the forum. So my asumption is that Peter eventualy catches Ben's killer.

(I don't speak English, sorry if this is unreadable)

love how he web slings to the ground and pulls himself away from the lizard to evade a hit.

I really don't want this movie to suck. :(
My next post is not pointed soley at you General.....just in response to that general feeling I've been seeing in here because of someone's review.

I generally don't want any movie to suck. Additionally....I hope that all comic book related movies are made well and do well and that I will like if not flat out love them.

Other people's opinion on whether a movie is good or bad does not change my opinion on if a movie is good, bad, or enjoyable to me. There are plenty of movies that others on here talk about like they are a plan of Satan to ruin people's lives....and I like them just fine. There are other movies that many on here act like the mere act of watching them produces multiple orgasms, cures cancer, and makes your hair have that lusterous sheen all commercials say you should strive for.....and I don't like them at all. My opinion can differ from theirs....and we all survive and live happy lives.

I don't depend on the group liking or disliking something for me to express my like or dislike for something. The things I dislike, you will not see me make many posts about...because I have never been a person to spend all my time complaining about a movie (yeah, that's strange to say on the Hype....because we all know that for some people on here, their very existence is threatened if they don't spend all day every day complaining about something)...I will mention it a couple of times and move on. Partly because, as I said, I don't like to spend my day complaining...and partly because I know there are people who like what I don't like, and I see no reason to try and ruin and their enjoyment of something (again, strange thing for someone to say on here, when there are so many others who only reason for living is to try and make others feel bad).

So to me....if someone reviews a movie I am looking forward to and they say good things about it....that's nice. I'm glad to hear it. If they review it and give a bad review....oh well, different strokes for different folks. But in either case....I will watch it and make up my own mind. It's nothing to jump up and down shouting I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT in a shrill voice over....and it's also nothing to get into a blue funk about.

There was a comic based movie that came out within the last 5 years....that I personally considered a total piece of crap that urinated on the grave of the character's creator.....and I spent no more than 5 posts on why I felt that way....over the course of a few weeks....and then put it out of my mind. Because when you think about it....it didn't deserve to even take up the amount of time from my life it took to write those 5 posts. Why waste time and effort on things like that? I prefer to spend my time with the things I like.....it's more fun in the long run.

Give this man a gold star!!

I know what movie Lee is talking about. Haha.

Well said.

Who said that quote in your signature because it sounds so familiar and it's bugging me that I can't figure it out

The second one I've had since I started here. I just made it up in 2004.

You know what? It sounds similar to something Chris Rock said once, that's why it's sticking to me lol. Funny though. I think it's that joke he made about Jude Law at the oscars a few years ago

What have been your favorite CBM's C. Lee?

There's a set video of Peter letting a thief get away - it's heavily inspired by the Ultimate version.

I'm pretty sure he does. I saw a set video of Peter walking past a chain of stores, and this guy runs out of one, then another guy runs out to saying "Get him" or something. Or, maybe in his last words, Ben says something about the killer?

Okay, so if that's the case, then
we still have a scene in which Peter lets the guy go who ends up killing his Uncle Ben. Okay, but that raises a new question. If what you guys are saying is accurate, then Peter doesn't purposefully let the guy go; rather he's just caught unawares of what is happening until it's too late. That to me still seems to missing the point about the tragedy of Uncle Ben's death because the whole idea is that Peter deliberately chooses NOT to stop the robber out of a misguided sense of self-importance or not willing to get involved, not because he wasn't paying any attention to what was going on. Granted, we don't yet know the full context of the scene, but if it is the later, then that really screws up a fundamental part of the origin too.

Also, it still doesn't get around the implication that Peter doesn't recognize the guy except for a distinguishing tattoo on his wrist. Granted, he would still know that the guy who killed Uncle Ben was someone he accidentally (?) let go, but part of what made the original origin so ironically tragic is that Spidey got a clear look at the guy he let go, so that when he tracks down and finds his Uncle's killer, he is appropriately shocked to see who it is. The whole idea is that Uncle Ben's death could have been easily prevented; but if this film makes so that Peter is caught unawares, then it still misses the point, IMO.

If it's like the Ultimate Universe, Peter could have stopped the guy or chased him down, but he chooses not to. He's cocky and arrogant and figures, "Why should I bother? No one ever helped me." It's not like he's caught off-guard and freezes in the moment. He deliberately chooses not to act. After all, Spider-Man could chase down any normal guy on foot.

The CG looks about as good as it did back when Sony did the first three, which is not a bad thing.
