I mean, I'm not saying that the rooftop scene wasn't hilarious. I loved it. But after so many repeat viewings, this question has started to boggle my mind. Haha.

Another thing that bothered me, though it was minor, was how the hell the web came out of his wrist with his costume on. There were no holes, no visible escape points....nothing. I think it finally occurred to me when watching SM2 when he first begins to lose his powers. There's a close up of his wrist with no web coming out, and all I thought was "HOW?!?!"

I'll have to double-check that. I remembered the Raimi suit having a small, silver nozzle by the wrist. Maybe I added that in my mind...

In the very first two pictures ever released of the suit (when there was no webs on the fingers), they had nozzles, but they were eventually removed.

As for the ORGANICS, the same argument could be said about mechanical shooters: what happens when he makes a fist or high fives? And the same explanation could be given for both: engagements requires a specific amount of pressure...and suspension of belief.

Not necessarily. Mechanical web-shooters can be closed by turning the nozzle. Other than mental control, is there some way to "close" an organic shooter?
 
Yah....with mechanical webshooters, there could be a specific amount of pressure; either a lot or just a small tap. As well as they can be removed.

With organic webshooters, there has to be a huge amount of suspension of one's beliefs for that.

Imagine if Raimi-Peter high fived someone and webbing just came out, lol.

he first found out he could do that in the hall when he threw that tray? that was by accident, so yeah....and the mechanical...well the 'trigger' could also be put slightly higher at the top of his palm as opposed to right in the center...where you usually make a fist...(which if you look at the gloves of this suit, seems to be the case) as well as whats been described above.

All the questions you guys are raising are precisely the reason he uses TWO fingers to trigger his webshooters. Originally, it was just a button that he could tap with any finger, but then fans of the comic book starting writing letters asking the very same things you are, like "Why doesn't his webshooter fire a web when he makes a fist?" So, Stan Lee actually altered it and said it required a "double-tap" to fire, thus the use of the TWO fingers.

As for the organics... don't get me started.
