And they're just rumors anyway..who knows whether they're true or false, only them
I get being sceptical over a new take on something. It's fair play to just wait and see![]()
To be fair, a lot of films leave things on the cutting room floor.
Star Trek 09 left a whole sub plot involving Nero and the Klingons out. It also left out a young Jim Kirk talking to his brother Sam. It cut out the scene on the Kobayashi Maru test where the green lady activated the program which let Kirk win the test (unbeknownst to her).
That's just one example that really springs to mind lol.
There was so much cut out of the movie, but I thought it was so well done. Looking forward to the sequel next year!Didn't they cut a part with Greg Grunberg as Kirk's step-father and just left it so he was the voice of his step-father berating Kirk for stealing his car? I think I read that somewhere... that or it was planned for him to appear and not just be a voice.

I was hoping they would not have any ridges since it is supposed to take place during the TOS era (or even earlier).Me too (and the prequel/sidequel game looks interesting too). Trying to avoid spoilers though, but it looks like Klingons are appearing pretty much like they did in the deleted scenes (I hope they still have the head ridges under the helmets).

For all we know, those cut lines - "do you think what happened to you was an accident?" - were made for the trailer to generate buzz. Point is, it could be anything.
The reason why the Klingons had no ridges in TOS is obviously because of the budget, but I like how they explained this in Enterprise. The genetic mutation experiment was pretty cool (but of course I like the whole "mystery" behind it... watch the DS9 episode called "trials of tribulations".
While everyone loves the ridged Klingons more, the non-ridged ones fit the TOS era.
Lol why is that in a quote? Also, I agree, TSSM would probably get me in the mood for this movie. It has Gwen, and the fact that Peter and Gwen work with Doc Connors together, a younger Peter, and it has cross species, but its just too dang shortbut TSSM is about crossed species, right?
The deleted scenes don't seem like they change the story. They were most likely cut because they were extending the film's length a little too much.
Fast pacing doesn't necessarily mean that the movie felt too short.I guess so...
But Goran said that the pacing is pretty fast so it wouldn't probably have hurt to have a little extra in there
If SSM was not cancelled, wouldn't it be on the 4th season by now or something?

I didn't think that there were tickets left, but I managed to snag a midnight IMAX 3D showing for me and my friends.
