Played Spider-Man 3 (PC)

With the new upgraded graphics card rendering full speed I finally experienced what Havok83 complained about, for short moments, and it happenes in every game where the camera follows the character

Didn't Beenox port the SM3 version from the consoles to the PC? I wonder if that is how they started with their model of the city for the upcoming TAS game.

I really liked the combat from the SD/EoT games although they prob won't continue that style for the next one. However, I would love to see the "Hypersense" ability continue to appear in their games. I don't care who you are, that ability is awesome. They took the lackadaisical "spider-sense" from SM3 and totally upgraded it. I love it. It's straight out of a comic book.

I thought you played it on PS3
Game got better in every gameplay, I felt the loooooooong loooooooooooong fights the first time, they felt like the boss health bars hardly move. Fights ended faster every later play

I hated Web of Shadows, played it, got to enjoy it for some stuff, expect the same thing to happen to me with SD

Why am i JUST seeing this!? One word desribes my feeling about the direction the game is headed: AMAZING. (No pun intended) So since they seem to be following the blueprint of success by drawing inspiration from SM2, i'm wondering will the crime-fighting elements be availible as well?? Hopefully with a variety of super-villians to thwart as well, like the Rhino, and maybe Sandman. Either, or- i'm on-board! Next stop: July 2012!

And throw on top of that the fact its a movie tie in. Activision plus Spider-Man divided by Movie Tie can generally only equal failure. Lets hope that equation is proven false.

Batman is easier to adapt, more people can agree on how he moves than they can agree on how Spider-Man moves

PS1 games did some things right
SMTM did some things right
Free roam Spidey games did plenty of right altogether
The games following did some things right

Mixing the best stuff from all games can make for the ultimate experience when it comes to Spidey games, you'd still get people b****ing about how the game is bad and how they did wrong

That happens with EVERYTHING though. I can guarantee you, if you scan the internet some idiot will try and make the argument as to why Arkham City isn't a good game. The difference is Spider-Man games have never gotten more right than they did wrong, outside of maybe the orig PS1 game.

Yeah, but how MANY Batman games SUCKED before AA and AC came out? Spider-Man games have had it's share of hit and misses as we all know, but out of all the superhero games- his has been the most successful. Which is why we fans moan and gripe when certain games don't meet up OUR requirements,that we either liked and wanted to see return in the new game. With that said, i'm glad Batman's getting his time to shine in the video game world, but Spidey's BEEN shining in the spotlight for a long time now.

The problem with those games is that not every aspect was interesting, which is what Batman has going for it. I don't see why they can't get it right concerning Spiderman as well. Give more variety with the combat though, because combat has never been interesting in Spiderman games for me.

Not true IMO. I thought Batman had some real fun sidescroller games back in the day. Batman Vengeance was decent and I actually had fun with the Begins tie-in game.

Name those ton of decent games. The orig PS1 game and maybe, MAYBE USM and or SM2. Thats about it. And not one of those game was talked about in the same light that Arkham Asylum or Arkham City was. Spidey has had some decent games, Batman has two genre defining titles. No contest.

I enjoy most of the Spider-Man games, whether I do as a gamer or a Spidey geek, no matter how much I whine about some

Whether you enjoyed any Spidey games or not, it's simply fact, not opinion, that we have yet to ever have a Spidey game of the same level of quality as the Rocksteady Batman games. Not saying there haven't been fun games, but as far as all round quality goes? (Graphics, gameplay, story, environment, characters, faithfulness to source material, depth and size of game etc) Nowhere near it.

^That's definitely true! One can prefer a game over another one. But borth Arkham Asylum and Arkham City being much better than any Spider-Man game we've had so far in quality should be considered a fact.
