Oh yes he can, but he can't get what he so deperately wants me to do and that is accept him as my "lord and savior". In that little instance I win, and that is all that matters to me. thats how my girlfriend is . shes really sweet and lives a normal life but doesnt go to church . i couldnt imagine her going to hell for that .

Yes. Yes, you can. You can respect someone's right to do whatever they want without harming or repressing someone else without having to fear some sort of onimipitant father figure.

Religion can teach people morals, but that isn't the main purpose--the purpose of it is to convince people to sacrifice themselves and their power to someone else, and it seems that those good morals fly out the window as soon as they see a "non-believer," and then they can kill the living f**k out of them. Of course, there are some people who don't do that, but they seem to be a minority nowadays.

According to Bible teaching it is, no matter how low one of his sheep has "fallen", he wants it to come back into his flock. Problem is, this sheep gives him the finger no matter with what he tries to tempt it with.

I'm sure if he exists he does care for everyone, but that doesn't mean he's desperate. I'm sure there have been plenty of people who have already lived and died and didn't believe in him, and I'm sure there will be plenty more. I doubt teseract is all that unique or more important to him than anyone else.

I really don't think that's the point. I mean, you're hardly *good* just because you don't **** kids or kill people ... Sure, you can be an upstanding citizen, drive the speed limit, refrain from littering and all that, but that doesn't mean you meet the requirements to ... play in the NBA, be a federal judge, practice medicine .. I mean, I'm no expert but I do know that IF the God of the bible IS real, the point is believing in him, not being an upstanding citizen. Yes, being an upstanding citizen or decent person as you put it maybe be a byproduct of becoming a believer, but that's not what gets you to heaven. If heaven is your goal, that is.

Oh no, I mean that, from what I've seen and experienced, many fundamentalist/evangelical Christians (or any religion, for that matter), when conversing with them will talk politely to me, until part of the conversation comes out that I don't believe in their God, will start screaming and yelling, telling me that I'm going to Hell unless I convert, convert, convert now before facing the depths of Hell. They will make a bigger scene and cause more disorder then when I mention my "heathen" ways.

And hell, I don't even have to use personal expierence--look at the GOP. The President continues a war, despite military advisors telling him to change strategies or get out, refusing to change because "God" told him to. You have politictions using the government to force their ideals on others, which is the very epitomy of "Unamerican."

Not all of them murder, no--but my expierence is a great many hate.

Jupp, I just wonder how long people will take that crap from them before they give them what they deserve, allthough people arer starting to do so with Lawsuits and speaking up against them. But ya know how it is with people in power, if the rules get them into trouble they simply change the rules. I just hope that they don't push the minorities around too much or I could see things get violent someday. I mean lets take gays for example. It is said 10% of the population are gay that would be 30 000 000 people. 30 million people can do a LOT of damage, heck even 3 million people can.

Well then if that's the case, then the US should pull it. Conservatives still control the government, if they believe the uN is immoral, they should pull out of it, not enforce its rules one day and then ignore them the next.
