Sounds plausible enough; but dropping a MAJOR Avenger into the middle of a show which may or may not even last past a few episodes on ABC is an extremely risky maneuver. I think Carol is more likely to show up in GOTG than SHIELD.

Dude, you know they're not going to cancel this show after only a couple episodes. As I read earlier today, the pick-up of the show is a formality; Disney is just waiting to announce the full slate.

Introducing a major A2 character through the show strengthens the bond between the established MCU and its emerging TV sibling. And really, where's the risk here? People are already sold on A2. Those tickets are guaranteed. Putting in a character from S.H.I.E.L.D. can only work in the network's favor as it would instantly raise awareness for the show.

All that aside, a GOTG appearance--most likely as a cameo--could work too. However she gets in there, I'll be glad to see her. We need more female members on the team.

I agree with all this. But. I'm just cynical/skeptical when it comes to network TV execs making an intelligent decision. Like....ever. Likewise, I don't trust your average "NCIS/Law & Order" Nielsen family to invest in this show.....the superhero genre hasn't fared well with them, even when superhero shows pick up a stout cult fanbase.

I still haven't seen Season 2 but thought Season 1 was great. Damn, that doesn't sound good to me .


On the topic of Civil War being adapted, Marvel is better off never doing it at all unless they want to destroy the universe they created. That is basically what Civil War did in the comics. It ruined the Marvel universe for awhile and some characters today still haven't fully recovered from the damage done (i. e. Spider-Man). It was overall a poor and stupid attempt of bringing in politics into the Marvel universe and of getting all the superheroes to fight each other.

Everyone was also written horribly and out of character. Iron Man specifically became the most hated character in all of comics and Marvel even came out and admitted that the only thing that saved him was the success of the movie. It would be a shame if Marvel was to repeat that.

I hear you - but considering how dismissive Shane Black was about him I don't think we're gonna see him anytime soon.

I have a big hope that the Black Knight is going to show up in Antman - although I think that will be a big leap too. Thats mainly cos I don't know how they could do him.

I guess he could be another dude in armour (been done) who flies about on a mechanical steed (very chitauri) so perhaps not very original after all. Unless they do the whole Dr Strange, mystical blade, medieval history thing??

Keep in mind that Mayimbe doesn't specify a Marvel STUDIOS movie --- just a Marvel movie.

I've also heard a suggestion that "diamond" could refer to Diamondback, who might actually wind up being the mysterious "female lead" role they've been trying to cast for CATWS.
