Strucker tried to blow himself up with a grenade when Steve found him in the base but Steve knocked the grenade away before he could do it. Later when they're back at Avengers Tower and Maria's giving Steve updates (that scene we've seen in featurettes) she mentions NATO has custody of Strucker. Then after Ultron gets loose we find out he's killed Strucker and that tips off the team that maybe Strucker knew something that Ultron didn't want the Avengers to know. That leads them to Klaue who was one of Strucker's contacts.

Btw these are the scans of Klaue's scenes, it's easier to just post them instead of transcribing dialogue lol:

Yeah... Cho even works a lot with Banner in his lab according to the novel.

I mean there's probably some things that happen involving her company in Seoul that would make it tricky to use Betty in the same role, but idk why Betty couldn't just be an additional character who supports the team alongside Dr. Cho.

Going by Ultron's dialogue, I worry people (and of course the usual suspects) won't understand the necessity of his humor, which would be coming directly from Tony.
