Shame those who don't like Natasha and Bruce are going to have to suffer this. Doesn't he work for Marvel if he attended the cast and crew screening? The only info from Twitter I trust are the initial comments we saw as these were from journalists.

Some of the French reviews are really bad. One reviewer gives the movie 1.5/5. Most are lukewarm (3/5 rating) with criticism focused on specific aspects of the movie but good overall. Only seen one glowing review from the French media so far (but obviously haven't seen them all and there may be others). The Irish reviews released early weren't that great either.

I have loved movies that have had bad reviews, and hated those that have been raved about. All that matters is your personal experience.

I seem to remember French reviewers not being all that impressed with TA so I'm not completely shocked they didn't like AoU. It's just not their cup of team I guess.

I don't think TA did as well in Europe compared to the US and Asia so this is probably true (3rd highest grossing movie in the UK in 2012 if I recall correctly).

Still surprised at the two Irish reviews though as the UK/Irish press seemed very positive for TA, and GOTG got outstanding reviews last year.

Eh, I've never really been that impressed with Marvel villains, and the top favorite villains like Loki and The Winter Soldier, are going to end up redeeming themselves in the end, kind of like Darth Vader, so they aren't exactly villains like The Joker, Shredder, T-1000, Sauron, Voldermort......

I can't see that as too bad as Vader is the best villain of that bunch imo. Too bad the prequels were botched, otherwise he would be even better.

#AvengersAgeOfUltron is exciting, funny, and satisfying. James Spader & Paul Bettany rule and FINALLY, Hawkeye gets some worthy screen time.

Yeah, his best role was still for The Town. And maybe Dahmer.

He was great in The Hurt Locker too. I even liked his work in The Bourne Legacy.

I'd love to see him win something someday. I really think hardly any comic performances are even within 100mph of being Oscar level, and on top of that you have the bias against them.

I seem to agree with the German reviewer about a lot of things regarding his film taste, so i might very well start getting real excited for this film.

Yes. Also, what's this about?

"But there’s one (not too big) development in the third act, which so far I’ve not read anything about. Tony and Pepper had their own movies for their romance to bloom. Nat and Bruce do not. They need significant screentime for Nat's emotional sacrifice to mean something.

And that's the problem, I'm not watching Avengers for some romance plot that's going to be taking over so much screen time that could be used for better stuff. I watch these movies for the fights and spectacle, not the girly girl BS.
