You know, as great as the War Machine armor looks I kinda like the WM Mark 1 armor better.
I can see why because it has a true menacing look due to the darker gunmetal, red eyes and power source, sheer bulk when compared to the newer suits, and a ton of very visible weapons. The Iron Patriot/WM Mk 2 armors are almost too clean and feel like only slightly different armors than the ones Tony wears.

I didnt care for IM 2 version. Way too overloaded and clunky looking. I prefer the more streamlined one from AOU.

I liked the IM2 version but the AoU version looks cool too. I hope War Machine has a good part to play in future films. Really happy he made it into this.

Me too and glad that it sounds like
he'll be in future MCU based on him surviving AoU and Cheadle stating in a Letterman interview that his schedule works around his Marvel contract.

I'm very excited that he's getting screen time in this film. It always reminds me of the vastness of the universe when these things happen and it increases my enjoyment level.

Oh cool, glad he said that. Wish they'd all say that!

I prefer the IM2 bulky look. Sets him apart from Iron Man even more. But I also love his new, sleek look.

Exactly. I was a bit disappointed when he got nothing in the first. I mean the suited up action scenes are a big bonus but I was already really happy that he was even at the party scene. And I like seeing background characters like Pepper get cameos etc.

I am one of the few that love MK I much more than MK II. He is War Machine after all. He should be bulky, heavy duty and overloaded with weapons.

The AoU one is Iron Patriot with the traditional WM paint job correct?

I remember there was a comic tie in to Iron Man 3 where Tony redesigns War Machine because it had all the Hammer tech on it. And said it was like putting finger paint on the Mona Lisa.

Just booked my tickets for Saturday. Couldn't do Thursday or Friday unfortunately. Feels real now!

IM2 War Machine was a Hammer tech model. We cant have that. ;)

Justin Hammers one of my fav Marvel characters. Hes just really funny to me. People complain about IM 2 all the time but that might be one of my faves in the whole MCU. Its such an entertaining flick.

I do love Hammer. I thought he was great. A lot of people say that the Iron Man villains were all the same since they were all weapons company guys in business suits but to me it seems like Stane is the actual supervillain, Killain creates a supervillain based on what people think a supervillain should be and Hammer wants to be a supervillain really, really bad and just sucks at it. To me that makes a good trio.

Damn, he looks like Gary Oldman here. Heh, and to think, I first saw this guy all the way back in 1990 in the first live action TMNT movie. Boy, time flies.

I love Hammer too. Whiplash was rubbish but Hammer was hilarious.

Heh. This scenerio reminds me of a major story arc I watched a long time ago in my favorite TV show ever. Homicide: Life on the Street. It first starts where the local kingpin is notorious Luther Mohoney, who is as ruthless, smart and resourcefull as they come. Then, there was his screw up nephew, Junior Bunk. Well, long story short, this arc would span about 3 years, with the nephew getting arrested and doing time in the slammer, and when he came out, he was no longer the chicken shiat screw up, but battle hardened and not afraid to do the dirty work, and boy did he screw the cops up, since they were expecting the screw up nephew.

The first film I saw with Sammy was Box of Moonlight. Its this little 90s indie gem by Tom DiCillo. Been a fan of him since.

The scene he's showing off his hammer weapons was funny. Remember the ex-wife?:funny:

Yeah thats what I call the "Easy Andy" scene. Ever seen Taxi Driver when the character Easy Andy is selling Travis (DeNiro) the guns? Its like that but with a comedic slant.

I also lol when Tony says "Hammer needs a slot Christine"

Sam is one of the best things in IM2, hes just an entertaining character.

And it's even funnier knowing that he ad libbed much of his dialogue in there for the weapon descriptions.

I am not gonna post any spoilers but I caved and watched what is rumored to the the mid credits scene after the movie. Now, its probably fake but I would be PUMPED if it were real because a certain character we all want to see in the MCU shows up. But again, I got the feeling its fake.

I would like to thank AoU for all these awesome trailers we are receiving at this moment in time. :woot:
