Yeah.....but I don't count re-releases. I think Titanic came in at about $600M DOM and $1.2B OS after it's first run (that's from memory so I'm not 100% sure). I count TA as #2 DOM. If it gets a full re-release like Titanic did, then I'll start comparing those numbers.

Titanic didn't benefit from 3D and IMAX when it was released, so I actually think its fair to compare this film in this way as the re-release mostly focused on these.

I remember family members living in a small town having to wait two weeks to get to see this movie when it was first released. The hype at the time was crazier than Avengers. It deserves its current #2 spot in my opinion.

I agree, that is way too many stars.

LOL. Opinions vary, but Theory of Everything was a beautiful movie with amazing performances. Deserved the five star ratings it got from the majority of reviewers and Oscar nominations/wins.

It was a definitive Oscar bait movie.

Without a re-release, Titanic would be #3 in the "DOM" :cwink: box office and #2 "FOREIGN" :cwink::cwink:. That's all I'm saying. You count it one way, I count it another. I think if Marvel had decided to do a wide re-release of TA in the weeks leading up to AoU, it "might" have passed Titanics re-release total, but we'll never know. One thing we do know is that it grossed more on its initial release. That's why I keep re-releases in a slightly different category. Oranges and Apples and stuff like that.

Another "review", not very well written - "Get ready for fun and action and love and fighting..."

Intentionally pretty much the verbal equivalent of the accompanying art. :lmao:

Is that a...10-pack on Captain America and moobs on "Thor"?

And that he finally gets those wings on his helmet. :o

Seeing a lot of glowing reviews for AOU, 5 stars, one saying its even better the 2nd time etc.

Not surprising because usually more complex films require more viewings to truly appreciate. This might be one of those movies we can keep watching over and over and catching new little details that improve it.

haha nice.
