Have any of the reviews so far said what they didn't like in the movie? That is from the critics who don't hate comic book movies.

One thing that keeps bugging me... if Tony's hulkbuster is as strong as it appears ... why not use it against ultron as well? Maybe it's damaged beyond repair? ... if it's not, it will be odd if he doesn't use it...

I read heavy Age of Ultron spoilers... If true (i say true)... OMG OMG :wow:

Ultron can hack into Starks armours.:sly:

The reactions on this movie are some of the most oddball I've seen in a while. They're all like a laundry list of negative criticisms, followed up by "but it was still GREAT! 4/5!"

Maybe those negatives remarks are nitpicks? I mean however good a film is, there is always gonna be something negative to say about it..No film is flawless

Got tickets for wednesday !!! 22nd, avengers doublefeature,

Thank you god for creating kevin feige and the mcu :gngl::ilv:

Are most of the early reviews saying the villain is weak? I've seen some early reviews but not a lot.

Sadly, I know nothing about the comics or Ultron, but just reading the synopsis of the guy, I wasn't impressed. I pointed this out once before somewhere in the threads, how I am far more part of the general audience than most around here, and that it's going to be hard to sell a mere robot after the likes of Loki (we find interstellar, outerspace or other worldly enemies to be of a greater threat than a mere earthling robot) and I got laughed off the forum. As part of the GA, I can say we already see stuff like this, in Irobot, Eagle Eye and the Terminator movies. So don't be surprised if the GA isn't taking onto this new villain. But then again, this is Marvel, and it's a well known fact that they have pretty weak villains compared to stuff we see in the DC universe.

where the villain is from has nothing to do with it. Its their personality and uniqueness that makes them great. Loki had an interesting personality so we all dug him. Are you saying James Spader cant be a great villain? I disagree.

also please dont claim YOU know what the GA likes or wants. Thats a load of BS.

I don't think Ultron can reach Joker or even Loki level villain status simply because he's not a human character. I put a Jeff Sneider quote from Meet the Press a few pages back "I prefer human characters like Kingpin than robots." Joss Whedon even made the choice to get rid of Ultron's signature jack-o-lantern face so that he could emote more.

We'll find out where he ranks in the pantheon of supervillains when we see it. I cant answer that until I see the entire movie.

I expect ULTRON to be one of the MCU's best villains. If he isnt Ill say so.

I'm getting so confused with these reactions...
We'll have a separating Review thread in a few days.
PERSONALLY I go by what the fans New and Old HERE say and not critics. RT I can go by every now and then

You're right. Ultron will probably be one of the top 3 Marvel villains. For me though, just seeing people's reactions like that one guy on twitter saying he preferred Loki only because he was "human" makes me just think audiences and critics prefer seeing a real person than a CG villain when it comes down to it. I still think Ultron will be great.

^^ That could be the case but they had to have ULTRON in one of these movies because hes such a major part of Avengers history. The question will be: Is he a great live action villain? We'll see!

Don't tell me what I can and can't do on the forums, and I'm not one of those people that are falling to James Spader's feet. He's Ok, but nothing exceptional in my opinion. Seems to me when comic con was on, people seemed to be more into Josh Brolin than Spader.

I'm sticking by my stance that the GA might not be into this new villain like the comic book fans are.

Can put them in the spoiler thread if you want. Some people have already seen the film and have been answering everything in the last few days.

It's not hard to be one of top 3 MCU villains when most of them are terrible

I'm so worried about Ultron since I have heard many characters are getting mishandled

EASY guys, EVERYONE has their own opinions. We' will see what the GA says when the movie hits the screens

The only one's being mishandled are the ones FOX has. Doom was no WAY the character he was supposed to be. Galactus was something pepto bismal could beat.

Im just not gonna respond to people who are being overtly negative before theyve seen the movie. Its not cool to me to get into arguments over a film none of us have seen yet.

Hm, perhaps some critics are being harsh towards Ultron simply because he's not Loki? Lots of people (especially critics) like to pit things against each other. It wouldn't surprise me if people are drawing comparisons between the current Avengers villain and the past Avengers villain (especially since he was undoubtedly one of the most popular parts of the first film).

I mean, it's hard to top a villain like Tom Hiddleston's Loki. I'm not expecting Ultron to top him, but I am expecting a good villain nonetheless. I hope Ultron delivers.

Most of the early reactions have been praising Ultron....
