I've only seen two German reviews, both have been really good.

I've noticed several members asking for links to the French and German reviews. this is one I found (french) simply by googling the movie's French title. No numerical rating given but it is very much a good review.

So far it seems to me the concensus is that it is a very good movie, but just slightly not as good as The Avengers. It only makes me curious what those reviews would be like if there was no first movie to compare this one with.

I feel like critically it won't be as good, but for Marvel fans and the general audience it will be considered better.

Thanks. Thats actually a really good idea. I came across areview last night on google, but every-time I clicked it, I got redirected to a different site.

"Joss Whedon, again screenwriter and director , introduces new characters , the Avengers first sends out into the world and yet remains just under the term of the predecessor. Thus, the film is extremely compacted sometimes has casual place and produced with non-stop action occasionally overpressure which challenges the viewer in hyperspeed important. Nevertheless, " Avengers: Age of Ultron " no soulless spectacle because Whedon his characters never loses sight and makes them superheroes of entertainment again with wit ."

Content doesn't seem too bad....

i don't think there is much overlap with this forum, but tumblr is already spoiling the movie all over the place. without tagging it. :whatever:
Your mistake was browsing tumblr in the first place.

Only two days to go to premiere here! So excited.

Gaddamn this is getting tough

Yeah....and it doesn't make it any easier when those smart @$$e$ from over the Atlantic (Oh yeah.....and let's not forget Australia) keep bringing it to my/our attention that they are going to be watching it a week earlier than I/we am/are...... :cmad::cwink:

Hey all how will you enjoy the movie ? I have 2 days left, my plan is: nachos cheese + a big coke for avengers 1 and for avengers 2 a huge big bucket popcorn and moaar coke , 1 or 2 beer before the movie and since we have 420 :yay: im celebrating it before A1 and hopefully in the pause right before AoU.:gngl:

Best.Day.Ever

If any cine pros have some pro-tips youre welcome
Sooo how will you enjoy the movie?

Thats making me hungry now. No Avengers, no nachos. THANKS! :)

OK. This is for all of you who are worried about reviews, marketing, and so on. I'm calling it now. $675M (US) and $1.2B (OS) for a total of $1.875B. Passes Titanic in both categories (initial release) and puts Avengers at # 2 and 3 all-time in US (not counting re-releases). I think it's going to be HUGE in southeast Asia.

I'm going to see it at the Cinemark XD after the IMAX showing so I can compare the two.

There.....someone had to do it.

It's going to be tough beating Titanic (no chance for Avatar IMO). To do this:

Domestic: To beat Titanic it needs to make approx $35m extra. Easy. For Avatar it $137m - who knows?

International: To beat Titanic AoU needs to make an addition $668m. It's a staggering $1270m for Avatar.

Reviews will be very important in Europe. No idea how reviews affect Australia and southeast Asia box office.

Will be fun watching the box office unfold over the coming weeks :yay:

The opening weekend (US) number will be very interesting.

I think it won't increase domestically, but rather it will be a fall of about 10%, irrespective of the quality

TA was a once-in-a-decade type movie, a grand event like SM in 2002, there was a novelty factor to it, the domestic market is already saturated, the second movie doesn't always have the same effect. Something similar happened with Spider-man and Spider-man 2

But OS it will be an increase of around 150-200M, maybe even more, markets like China and Japan are very hard to predict, if they become obsessed with it the same way they became with T4...sky's the limit

In 24 hours (well, 23:55, technically), "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" reviews will be landing. Buckle up.

I like these BO predictions. And hopefully it could break the $700 Dom :)

Can't stop thinking about a mano a mano fight between Ultron against any of these (apart of IM): Hulk and Thor one at a time. That must look insane.

Id put IM 2 above TDKR in terms of entertaining qualities. Id also say Daredevil is better than the entire Dark Knight Trilogy. Because it really is.

IM2 above TDKR. No chance in hell, not by a long shot!

The DareDevil series better than the entire Dark Knight Trilogy? Please, dude, give me a break! DareDevil is one_awesome_show, I think so too. But it's still, at the end of the day, no way near the quality and beauty of Nolans Batman trilogy, so that's truly laughable to me. And DD, while doing it well in it's own way, clearly feeds off of The Dark Knight. It's obvious.

Your opinion is your opinion, and you're entitled to it. I just have to state my opinion on your opinion - and I don't agree in the slightest of your post. I think it's a directly outragous one.
