LOL that David Edelstein review. He thinks the Chitauri are an Armada from Asgard

And yeah he loved the movie of course, but still got that wrong .

It's just glorious.

I always enjoy reading Travers' reviews and it's great to see a critic of his caliber sounding so giddy about his reactions to The Avengers. It's another sign that the movie has a mass appeal that can reach across demographics and age groups.

Let me sprint right to the point: The Avengers has it all. And then some.

It's also the blockbuster I saw in my head when I imagined a movie that brought together the idols of the Marvel world in one shiny, stupendously exciting package.

All hail the warrior king of this dizzying, dazzling 3D action epic.

Whedon stages the most exultantly good-humored, head-on, rousing series of traps and escapes since Spielberg was a pup. It's Citizen Kane for Citizen Geek.

LOL, yeah Travers is one of my favorite critics. He is the definition of a shameless quote-****e, but he's a shameless quote-****e who knows movies, and just happens to have taste that almost always perfectly aligns with my own.

I hope too see those blurbs in a tv spot before I see the movie this weekend. so much looks to have gone right with this film. Truly a dream come true for an Avengers fan like me who has loved the Avengers since I was a kid.

He should be kicked off RT of course, but Armond White was on there for years, so quality control ain't their thing.
