Yeah, not sure how long they will film there. I mean, all the Elizabeth Olsen with her stunt double pics are coming from this called "Royal Mile" street. But they are shooting from some quite few days there. But still, there were pics from April 5th.

The Royal Mile is the name of a succession of streets forming the main thoroughfare of the Old Town area in Edinburgh.

Other Avengers locations in Scotland are Waverley Station, some places in Glasgow and in the Highlands.

Given these various Scottish locations I don't think Scotland will be doubling for somewhere else.

I think Marvel are varying up locations. We have already seen big battles in cities like New York, London, Busan, Johannesburg, LA and so on in the MCU.

A city like Edinburgh getting wrecked isn't something you see in movies very often.

Heh, in retrospect (and in comparison to how he looked in later movies) the makeup in the first movie is awful - Thors complexion is so pasty and his hair and beard unnaturally yellow.

It seems like they would have to take out permits to film on streets or whatever. Maybe you can find out if a permit got pulled. Y'all do have permits over there. Don't you?

Is it Cap, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man, Hawkeye?

OR

Is it Iron Man, War Machine*, Vision, Black Widow?

OR

Is it the above two teams split i.e. Avengers and West Coast Avengers?

OR

(and this is my assumption) the entire team is in shambles at the start of the film.

Cap and Falcon may still be together but "fugitives" of sorts.

Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch are also "fugitives" and probably not thrilled with "The Avengers" at the moment.

War Machine is paralyzed.

Iron Man and Vision feel a bit of shame for how things went down.

Ant-Man and Black Widow are a bit jaded about the whole thing and also "fugitives."

Hulk and Thor are returning to a sorry state.

In other words things aren't going to go well. The Black Order are going to be well suited to picking them off one by one.

When Thanos and the Black Order show up the Avengers will get back together.

It will be like the Ghostbusters movies when the Mayor pardons and wants the help of the Ghostbusters once ghosts start running amok.

The Avengers will put aside their issues, the government will offer pardons in exchange for their help.

I actually want to know how the Avengers first learn what is coming. My guess is Thor and Hulk arrive after the events of Ragnarok, knowing what Thanos is planning (or even Hela too if the speculation she's the Death stand-in are true).

That could be the thing that makes Tony break out that burner phone Cap gave him at the end of Civil War.
