Stephen Amell Interview:
Lastly, I have to ask, quite a few names are being added to the Flash pilot. Any chance we’ll see Oliver among the guest appearances?
Oh, the Flash pilot is top secret. I haven’t even read the Flash pilot. I can’t even get myself a copy of the Flash pilot. It’s my understanding that they are minted and watermarked and the pages are red. I’d just like to read it! But whether or not I’m involved, I’m very excited for Grant. It’s a funny thing. He’s his own man and he’s going to do his own thing. But it’s funny to think back to two years ago, right around this time — it would have been two years ago right around now, almost to the day — when I went in to read for Arrow. So just to think about the things that I’ve gotten to experience over the past few years. Knowing — because I know that show is going to be a huge success — all of the things he has in store for himself, I’m envious.

I ****ing love Amell. He's such a genuinely nice guy.

Flash should definitely air after Arrow. I don't watch The Tomorrow People, so I don't care where it goes.

I think The Tomorrow People a.) has the worst ratings of the network's three new series, and b.) is being given a different timeslot at some point this season anyway, so...

I don't think we have anything to worry about.

I've heard it might get cancelled. I don't really give a crap, but I do feel a little bad for Amell's cousin.

So if it were up to you guys, who would you guys want to serve as the Main Villain (or Villains) for three seasons worth regarding this show?

Zoom, Doctor Alchemy, and maybe Gregory Wolfe (the Warden of Iron Heights who treats inmates like crap and can control pain receptors). Unfortunately I don't see Grodd becoming a main villain. I doubt we will even see Gorilla City.

Though, it can be done. An experiment can lead to hyper intelligent Apes who then go on to create their own city. Just flat out rip off Rise of The Planet of The Apes with the Ceasar character being split into Grodd and Solivar.

Zoom or the Rouges. I suspect it'll be the former.

Since they already cast Zoom, I feel like he's going to be a series long villain. Seems menacing but not necessarily evil for the first half of season 1, then embracing his villainy the second half of the season.

Grodd being the first villain in a Flash movie was an idea I always liked but it's risky if it's a movie, since a sequel isn't a sure bet, and a talking gorilla has potential to be silly. But since The Flash is a series built off of the success of another series, they can afford to get away with something like Grodd.

Gorilla Grodd can be done on tv. The tough part is making Grodd speak. I wouldn't mind if Grodd didn't speak at all. After all, the most important aspect of Grodd's character is the fact that he is a highly intelligent gorilla with mind control powers. I wouldn't mind if the only voice we heard of Grodd's is a voice that people hear when Grodd invades their minds. Maybe Grodd has difficulty speaking english because of his anatomy, but when he invades people's minds it's no longer a problem, since he can transfer his thoughts and communicate with a voice he thinks he would have if he could speak.

it'd be easy to do that on a tv budget, but later he could still become the Grodd we know and love

Or, even creepier, how about Grodd talking through people.

I see it being likely that Grodd will be a human being who transfers his mind to an ape, though. After the Count Vertigo change among many others on Arrow I would not be surprised with a huge departure.

The main Flash villain I want to see is Vandal Savage. The fastest man against the man with all the time in the world.

Captain Cold. Hopefully he's not a hitman like their movie script.

The Scarlet Speedster won't be without his love, Iris. The show is still currently looking for an actress to take on the role. The character, who eventually becomes Mrs. Allen in the comics, is a grad student studying psychology in the new pilot. She's described as Barry's best friend who is blissfully unaware of his true feelings for her. And the rumors are true, Cisco Ramon, also known as Vibe in the DC Universe, will be part of the show.

Who the heck is Vibe?
This silly looking mother****er...

Ugh Geoff and his giving these underdogs all the lime light. Give me some other heroes who are more interesting.

It's a supporting role, give it a rest.

So in terms of villains, so far we have...

Professor Zoom/Reverse-Flash
Killer Frost
Vibe

They all have powers. No non-superpowered ones like Captain Cold or the Trickster so far. I wonder if they'll stick to mostly superpowered villains.

Vibe isn't a villain, is he?
