A lot of great celebrities have died under Obama's watch...Bowie, Prince, Rickman, Robin Williams, Yelchin. We can blame Bush for the recession then I blame Obama for killing Rickman. Where are those flyers Trump campaign?

Cause starting two wars without budgeting them, and giving gratuitous tax cuts to the wealthy doesn't have any bearing on the economy.

Worst confusion between correlation and causality I've seen on this site so far.

Dude, come on. That's not even close to a fair analogy.

Bush created more economic disparity, Obama has created more social disparity. 16 years of hell that doesn't appear to be getting better.

Pretty much what I was saying as it was going on - it was important that Bernie stayed in the race until closer to the convention to keep pushing the party/Hillary towards more progressive policies: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncheHH8mryk

I'm still not sure why people were so adamant that he announce it sooner.

How did Obama create social disparity? He's been called nothing but racist names both directly and indirectly since his first day in office.

Because everything in this country was going great for it's first 233 years when it came to race relations, then Obama came into power and it all went to hell.

In all honesty I think many people mistake people being more open and vocal about issues as being "worse"

Some of you are really sensitive towards any criticism towards Obama. The poster even criticized Bush from an economic perspective. I'm a minority and I can at least understand his point from a racial tensions perspective.
I've experienced life for 4 decades and the last time I remember racial tensions being this volatile was in the early 90s.

A lot of what may be taking place may be coincidence so I'm not blaming Obama for escalations in racial tension, I just find it very interesting that this crap keeps getting worse on his term.

I would argue people were ok with passive racism because it didn't seep into their tv screens at night. Having a black President has made the truly racist even louder and more overt.

As I predicted last week, his stock was bound to rise from the moment that Clinton selected Pence. Vilsack is one of Clinton's closest allies. He has been her and Bill's guy for a long, long time. The Clintons value loyalty. Clinton could not have gone with Vilsack, a boring and uninspiring choice, if Trump went Christie or Gingrich or someone who had actual personality that would allow him to carry the VP debate on personality alone if up against a human brick wall like Vilsack. BUT Trump went Pence, the boring, safe choice. That gave Clinton the green light to make her boring and safe choice and lose nothing from it.

I still think she'll probably go with Kaine because Clinton is such a politician that she would still buy into the dated, wrong, but conventional wisdom that a VP pick can help you in their home state. But I wouldn't be surprised if she went Vilsack.

Boy, this is really kinda sad. We go from the coolest President/VP duo in our country's history to either an arrogant, ignorant, bigoted blowhard and a dunce or a sleazy insider who doesn't have an ounce of sincerity in her and a man about as interesting as watching paint dry (and that applies to both Kaine and Vilsack). Yay?

Seriously. This was her best choice? 2 more boring white dudes?

Why does it matter that they are white or dudes? Call me crazy, but I tend to think she should pick the person most able to step into the Oval Office and act as President of the United States. Personally, I am of the mind that Sherrod Brown is the best choice. But either Vilsack or Kaine would be more than qualified to serve as POTUS. The non-white dudes on the radar are not qualified to be President. Cory Booker has two years of experience in the Senate under his belt (we saw what happened with Obama...he was in completely over his head those first few years, largely because he lacked the experience needed to do the job). Julian Castro and Tom Perez have virtually no experience. I'd rather have a boring white dude who can do the job on day one than an exciting guy who can't.

Two women is pushing it I think. There's a lot of Americans who are going to struggle with the decision to vote for a woman.

This is not an intelligent or educated post, even intended as satire.

That wasn't what caused the economy to crash. War is actually a profit generator in the short term...mind you many Democrats such as Hillary voted for said wars. Obama has added more debt than Bush did so where is that bearing?

Worst confusion between correlation and causality I've seen on this site so far.
Causality is incorrect so why not correlate? Blaming Bush for the economic collapse and crediting Obama for the revival of the economy is both, asinine. Neither are responsible for either...hence my asinine response. There are WAY more moving pieces than who is in office at that time. The economic collapse goes back to the Clinton era.

Dude, come on. That's not even close to a fair analogy.
They are both ridiculous. Mine was ridiculous for a reason. The post before mine, is caused by misinformation.

This is not an intelligent or educated post, even intended as satire.
Neither was the one before mine. The only difference is one of us believed what we posted.

And CNN wonders why their ratings are dropping like flies.

Honestly, I'll be shocked if Tim Kaine isn't announced as Hillary's Vice President.

I don't think he is the best choice (I would rather see Elizabeth Warren or Sherrod Brown) but at this point, he seems to be the safest pick.

Signed up to volunteer at the DNC here in town next week.

Let you know what I get assigned to.

Looks like she is announcing Kaine later today. He's like Pence. Most people who don't follow this stuff everyday don't really know him. I'm sure Trump will attack her on this choice as he's in favor of protecting the banks.

I'm surprised he hasn't been announced yet.
