Nice post Andy, I'm really liking Wonder Boy

As *****y as it makes me feel, I must drop out of this RPG. As you all may have noticed, my participation has dwindled into nothingness. I wish you all luck, and I may return some day.

Create a Hero RPG SEASON II Application
Character you have created: John Cade
Alias: Scythe
Speech Color : Book Antiqua, Dark Grey
Character Alignment: Walking the Line
Identity: Secret
Character Personality (Give information on how your character acts, what he/she believes in, how they handle situations): John Cade is a mercenary but a man of iron principles. He only has two rules for his employers to follow; No women and No children. Strictly athiest, John doesn't believe in things such as destiny or fate or luck. A mans life is his own to make and a man must bear the consequences of his own decisions. These are the morals which John Cade lives by. He's older than most too, starting to grey and is past his peak. He's just on the outer fringes of leaving his prime.
Origin Info/Details: A naturally gifted weapons specialist, Cade attempted to live a normal life and work a mindless day job. However, he knew that this life wasn't for him and so he joined the army, excelling in almost every area. Leaving the service after fifteen years he sought employ in private military groups, selling his services to the highest pay day. It was whilst on a mission, accompanying a group of explorers and archeologists to an ancient temple deep in the jungles of Africa that Cade came across two magical blades, known by ancient tribes as the Swords of Choas and Order. Cade took the blades as his own, with them imbuing him with great power, enhancing his senses and refining his already impressive skills to inhuman degrees.
Hero Type (Select one): Normal (Non-powered characters)
Power Level (Select one below): 1. Street Level (Ex. Punisher, Daredevil)
Powers (Be Specific): Weapons Master specializing in blades of all kinds, superhuman senses, agility and fighting skill thanks to the swords of Chaos and Order.
Attributes (Select one at each category):
Strength Level: Normal Human
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 50mph
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 2 hours
Agility: 10X
Intelligence: Average
Fighting Skill: Mastered
Resources: Large
Weaknesses: Whilst a weapons specialist, he's still only human. He can be harmed, doesn't have a healing factor of any kind and is vunerable to magic and telepathy.
Supporting Characters : Erin Cade, Johns 19 year old daughter. Cayden Merrick, fellow merc, good old friend. Dr. Charles Naughton, archeologist and explorer, advisor to Cade. Jayce Mercer, boss of ArmourCorp, private underground arms dealer and informant.
List a few reasons why you've created that character:
1. He's my creation and this is the only place I can play him
2. I uh.... I don't really have another reason :/
What can you bring to the RPG?: Excitement, cake and a tiny tiny bit of writing skill.

Sample Post (Minimum Four paragraphs containing dialogue):
His body hurts. Battered and beaten from years of fighting in war torn hell holes with no name. Fighting battles which weren't his own, killing men who's faces disappeared from his mind as fast as their blood spilled to the dirt.
He sits here now, on the edge of a grime covered bed in a back alley slum apartment, not because he has to, but because he chooses to. Rich from murder and death, he refuses to spend it on luxury, rather the money goes to a better cause... be it taking trash from the darkness covered streets as a masked vigilante, or sending anonymous cheques to the various charities of Lost Haven and beyond.
In his hands he cradles a bottle of Jack and an empty glass. It's been filled and drained more times than he cared to count already this vening but he was still stone cold sober. From the darkness he could feel the swords calling him, their power beckoning him to hold them, to caress them, to wield them and feed them with the blood of the damned.
Cade rose and walked to the window, looking out into the city. Mostly it was quiet. Cold and dead apart from a distant siren here and there.
But still they called.
Cade sighed and rested the almost empty bottle on top of an old dresser and fixed his face mask into place. Reverentially he hefted the double sheath containing his favorite weapons. They sang to him now, soothing and caring, he could feel it in the pit of his soul.
"Where you going?" It was the voice of his daughter, raven haired and beautiful. Gentle and delicate. The opposite of her father.
"Out" came the gruff retort.
She saw the bottle on the dresser. "Have you been drinking again?" There was concern in her voice, she hated him drinking.
"Leave it. I don't need this right now", his back was to her, his frame silhouetted.
She noticed the silver of his hair shining in the moonlight. "No. Not as much as you need to be out there killing".
"GOD DAMMIT ERIN" he roared, swinging around to face her. "This city needs Scythe. This city would ****ing crumble withot me out there!"
She sighed softly and pushed past him, grabbing the bottle herself but not drinking it. Cade knew the leftovers were destined to be poured down the drain. "Yeah, the city might need Scythe, dad. But that's not what it's about is it? Not because the city needs him, but because you need him".
Cade turned and climbed from the window, grasping onto the fire escape outside. "We'll talk about this later" he mumbled before disappearing into the night.
oooh, does this mean I get a micro hero made?!
Oh. It's time.
Create a Hero RPG SEASON II Application
Character you have created: Sean Abbott
Alias: Mantis
Speech Color (Actually say what you're using, don't go "Like this", or what not): Green Tahoma (Sean) / Bold Green Tahoma (Mantis)
Character Alignment: Hero
Identity: Secret
Character Personality: Sean is still young enough to be pretty idealistic. He truly believes in a world where evil is always punished and good always prevails. He's dedicated to his 'work' as Mantis, and nothing can sway him from the mission. At the same time, though, he doesn't allow himself to get too serious. He can appreciate the fact that he's dressing up in green tights and beating on thugs. There's humor in that, and Sean embraces it.
Origin Info/Details: Sean was born with latent genetic mutations, but they were unactivated. One day, after smoking, chemicals in his bloodstream jumpstarted those mutations. Sean's abilities manifested, and it freaked him out - naturally. He was more than content with trying to live a normal life, but when tragedy struck home (in the form of his girlfriend's accidental death) Sean realized that life was too short. If he could do something to save other people his pain, he would. Thus started Mantis.
Hero Type: Acrobat
Power Level: 2. City Level
Powers: Enhanced reflexes, increased agility, increased flexibility, super-jumping, superstrength, ability to stick to walls, enhanced eyesight and hearing, bone-like blades that extend from his forearms.
Attributes:
Strength Level: 20 tons.
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 60 MPH.
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 3 hours.
Agility: 15X Human level.
Intelligence: Average.
Fighting Skill: Trained.
Resources: Minimal.
Weaknesses: Sean's a high school kid. His life is already crazy enough without the superpowers and the crimefighting. As such, he can have a hard time juggling everything. Also, if his enemies were to ever learn his identity, so much of Sean's life would be at stake. Like most heroes, Sean is determined to save lives - even at the cost of letting the bad guy get away.
Supporting Characters: Sean's closest confidant is his best friend, Jim Harrison, who also happens to know Sean's secret. Sean's girlfriend, Brooke McFadden, does not know his secret - which can get Sean into trouble. For some time, Sean has tried to rekindle a friendship with Vince Daniels - an old friend who hasn't had much time for anything other than school. On the flipside, Sean has been trying to get away from Marilyn Freel, a possessive ex-girlfriend with a serious attitude problem. Sean also has another friend, Abby Smith, who moved away six years ago. Sean is very close with his sister, Vicky, as well.
Mantis's contact in the Carver Lake Police Department is Sergeant Hampton. The two have a tenuous partnership which helps keep Mantis out of the police's crosshairs.
List a few reasons why you've created that character: Truth be told? Mantis was my personal version of Spider-Man. I wanted to make a superhero character, and not intentionally - though not accidentally - I created one with all the typical Spider-Man traits: youth, humor, bad luck, spider-like powers. However, I've since realized that I love Mantis for Sean and his supporting cast more than his alterego. Sure, he's still a superhero, and I still have fun with that, but it's his interactions with his friends and family that I really enjoy.
What can you bring to the RPG?: Intricate coming-of-age stories with realistic characters at the heart. Oh, and I'll kick some criminal butt now and again, too.

I need a theme song.
Okay, okay, it seems like a silly thing to be thinking about while I'm running around the city at night, but - I mean - c'mon! Tell me it wouldn't be sweet to have a theme song? Like, any minute now, some crime's going to break out, and you know what my grand entrance will be? I'll just show up. If I'm in the mood, I might throw out a quick one-liner. But that's it! Whereas if I had a theme song, I could burst onto the scene!
Man, I am so bored. Is this really what I'm thinking about? Theme songs? I have a chemistry test at the end of the week, and I'm trying to reword showtunes to incorporate the words 'Mantis,' 'crime,' and 'dreamy?' Well, Sean, I'm glad to see you have your priorities straight! I mean, it's not like your alien friend came to you and warned you of impending doom.
Oh, wait. Yes. Yes, she did. I have an alien friend, and she warned me of impending doom. As you can probably imagine, it was quite the upbeat reunion. Would I have preferred to discuss who we'd want to win American Idol instead? Of course! But it wouldn't be a day in the life of Sean Joseph Abbott if there wasn't impending doom!
"Wow. I am bored," I announce aloud. "For the love of all that is good and holy, please let there be a crime to stop."
Wait. What's that? Sirens? Oh, boy! Sirens!
That's probably wrong of me to say, right? Oh well! It gives me something to do! I look to the heavens, point, and say, "Guess I owe you one, Buddy."
