So is the Captain Marvel score.
I don't know about this one. A lot of reviews I've seen for this movie seem to have plenty of legit gripes aimed its way, at least they could be legit about a good number of them.

Captain Marvel has an average Rating of 56% and a user rating of 2.8.

To put things in perspective, the second lowest rating for MCU is 72% shared by Iron Man 2 and TIH and the second user rating is 3.6 again by the TIH.

The only other cbm with a user rating of 60% or lower in this modern era of cbm is Wolverine Origins, Sin CIty: A Dame to Die For, Fantastic Four (2015), Spider-Man 3 and Green Lantern. The only movie with a worse user rating is Fantastic Four at 2.1.

To say that Captain Marvel is the "worse" MCU is one thing, to say it's worse than the ones I just listed as a consensus is ridiculous.

Being around 1.3 of the way into its reviews and still sitting at 97 at this point I would say best cases it finishes at a 97 and at worse a 93.

Well forget the rating, the fact that it has 84K user reviews when other films that have been out much longer don't have those kind of numbers tells you the whole thing was a troll act.

Look you take a divisive film like The Last Jedi which has a 44% audience rating, but you see there were 200K user reviews, but compare it to TFA with an 87% audience rating with about 250K reviews and you could say there was a legit gripe about the film.

But in not even two months after CM releases it has more user reviews than IW and it's 54%, that's absolute horse crap. This was just the effort of a few internet trolls with way too much time on their hands.

Guys, take the Brie Larson comments debate elsewhere. We're not doing this in here for endless pages. Take it to the Brie Larson/Captain Marvel thread.

Another rotten, smh.

It needs 22 more fresh reviews to go back up to 98%.

Lol, I don't know any of the reviewers you guys mentioned. I don't follow any them on YouTube or anywhere. I usually just look at the RT score and the average ratings because most if the time I tend to agree with majority of the critics.

To think most of us thought Shazam! would be the best reviewed CBM this year. Most us didn't expect this. Whether I like the movie or not, I'm proud of what Feige, the Russos and the writers achieved here. Having this much characters in a movie that is the finale of eleven years if storytelling and being able to pull it off is a miracle.

I was totally expecting and was at peace with this being in the mid 80's like IW. I also thought Shazam would have highest RT score of any CBM...we was waaay off. At least for now. I stopped tracking shazam when it was around 93% surprised to see it @ 90% today.

Another rotten :argh:, haha.

I actually did think this could be above 90%. Am I surprised it's getting this high with lots of 4/4, 5/5 reviews? Yes, but I don't think it's shocking it gets this higly reviewed. I point to Deathly Hallows pt. 2 and Return of the King as examples of these franchise ending films that get a lot of praise and attention. Sure they can go horribly wrong ala Battle of the Five Armies, but that series had to live up to the Lord of the Rings as a standard.

I also think based on the cricital reaction and what surely will be the top grossing film of the year, it's also likely to see a best picture nod, not that I think it will win but a nomination seems very likely at this point as there's really no films in the first half of '19 that really stand out in that regard.
