Check my facebook and tell me which one I care about the most. :cwink::oldrazz:

I see something about Charles Barkley but I know which franchise you hold dearest :oldrazz:. He's supposedly still filming some in NY so you get both anyway :cmad::cmad:

Damn Right!

In case they ever need another 5'10 Brown Hair-Brown Eyed guy with crazy eyebrows from Pittsburgh to play Bruce Wayne/Batman again, Im their man!!

:brucebat:

So, what's today's rumor?Anything I missed?

Haven't seen the guy in a while, last I heard he was skeptical about how Hollywood has changed and that animation-V.O.s are the only thing left to do or some other depressing thought. Is he that fat?

I thought Keaton had blue eyes.

Hey, you think you've got it bad? You think Nolan will ever film at the Jersey Shore?

All we've got is Snookie. :csad:
Hahaha, yeah I know, I grew up in Jersey too. :(

I would want to see Athens, Greece in a Nolan film. Very maze-like streets

So no news then

*SIGH*

If no news comes quickly I may actually have to give up and venture *shudders* outside..... :barf:

Yay! That would have been awesome! Thessaloniki is a bit more noirish though!! :woot: Dreams and hopes of something that will never happen...

You want the return of the Narrows (albeit a bit different than in BB), you come to shoot in Athens, especially now. But other than that, there's nothing Gotham-like about it.

Ah, but THR was not 'theorising'. When THR says that 'sources' have told them that Talia in the film, it more or less means that Talia is in the film. They do not report flimsy rumours - they're a trade publication, not a movie website.

This was part of the THR report. After their report of Eva Green and Naomi Watts, Collider updated with the following.

Now, despite the recent press release debacle, Collider does not post BS and I think they way they handled that bungle proves their credibility. I would rate them as a site on the same level as Moviehole - if they report it, it's some they've been told by genuine sources and something that they believe will be happening. That means that two very reliable sources have said that Talia is in the film.

I asked for clarification on this issue from someone (who has contacts with the site) who told me that they believed what Collider had reported was what was going to happen and what THR had reported was what was happening. In the surrounding circumstances, I interpreteted that as saying "Eva can't play Catwoman, we'll go to backups" - but the timing for everything was off. For a start, the THR report stated that the girls were in 'final testing' for the role (which they believed was Talia) - but a member on the BOF forum had told us that Anne had been to the studio for days at a time (and this was around two days after the THR report) and was obviously not auditioning, but in final negotiations and the announcement came a few days after that. Now, the reason why Eva could not join the cast was due to 'scheduling conflicts' while THR gave the reason why Naomi could not join the cast (but confirmed Nolan's interest in her) was her inability to schedule meetings given her current shooting schedule.

So, my theory is that all the female casting reports came out at the same time and the reason for the conflicting information is because Nolan had more or less chosen who he wanted for the roles, but two of them fell through at the last minute. I think we were slated for Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, Eva Green as Talia and Naomi Watts in a third role. Eva obviously pulled out and Nolan looked elsewhere, obviously to Marion Cotillard and Rachel Weisz. Why? Because this new casting list from THR has the same split that the Deadline casting list had - not older/younger, but dark/fair. I think he waited for Naomi for the other role but got an expression of interest from Winslet, who he had wanted to work with on Inception but who declined to join the project after deciding she was not suited for the character.

All of this is conjecture, but why did THR say Nolan was meeting with other actresses when Marion's own 'people' confirmed that she's 'in discussions' for the role. Surely the fact that Nolan's meeting with other actresses would undermine the negotiations?

Actually Eva Green denied having any discussions for a Batman 3 part. Here is an excerpt from a recent interview she gave:

It's interesting that your name keeps popping up on short lists or wish lists, perhaps, for superhero roles. Is that actually something of interest to you?
No, somebody just asked me if I was, like, on the short list for 'Batman' or something, and I was never approached for it. I don't know. I think it's a lot of ********, and people just throw your name onto the Internet or something.

You were on the short list for Catwoman in the next Batman movie.
Really? If only. No.

Is that of interest?
Just Catwoman?

No, in general.
It depends on the director and it's always important that there's another facet, that it's not just like a very strong woman. It's nice to see the other side, the vulnerable side, the most human. So I don't know. If it's a bit cliché or cartoon, I don't know.
 I don't know what to believe anymore!!! :cmad:

Wow, that is interesting. I wonder how Collider could get the Naomi Watts info right and the Eva Green info so wrong?

Well Naomi Watts was on the deadline shortlist month ago. it would be easy for a source to bring her name.

i don't think collider didn't confirm anything per see. they pratically always said to treat that as a rumor.. but when HR, a "legitimate" website reported talia from "sources" they jumped on it. HR that said can bring questionnable info. The mysterious female lead for superman, fell kinda short for example.

Personnaly, i just think that there are a lot of misinformation intentionnaly leaked.

Some news on the possible filming location India.

One of the locations Chris Nolan was supposedly scouting in that country is in Jaipur.

From the Jaipur Times (30-12-2010):

Tell Me Oh Khuda

That Rajasthan is a favourite destination for tourists is no breaking news. But over the past few years there has been a significant surge in the number of movies being shot here.It seems that the filmwallahs are no longer interested in the Swiss Alps or the exotic beaches;they now want to capture Rajasthans scenic beauty. And it is not just Bollywood thats coming here to shoot, even Hollywood filmmakers have been location scouting in the exotic state. And as the year 2010 has come to an end,JT brings you the lowdown of the shooting scene in the state.A few days ago, there was strong buzz that director Christopher Nolan had come to Jaipur scouting for locations for his upcoming flick The Dark Knight Rises. And more recently, the cast of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel just wrapped up shooting in Udaipur and Jaipur. The cast and crew of the film came from Udaipur to Jaipur in November and shot for about a month here. And they shot at almost all the local bazaars and streets like Jalebi Chowk,Tripolia bazaar,Aaatish Market,Brahmpuri, the airport, railway station, and bus-stands.The producer of the movie,Graham Broadbent, says,The movie is an adaptation of Deborah Moggachs novel These Foolish Things, which is set in Bangalore. But I chose Jaipur because its a beautiful city with wonderful colours, and it appeals to the western audience.
