It's probably going to be a while before we hear any news on filming again. I'm guessing they are going to be filming at the hangars from now through most of June.

Paul J. Franklin (VFX Supervisor) is currently at the Hangar, so yeah.........

I can state, without fear of contradiction, that the upper catwalk of the Cardington Hangar is the filthiest place I've ever been...... 100 years of dust, rust and pigeon poo.

I think the schedule looks like this based on what we've heard/read so far:

Now: Cardington Hangar
Early June (pre-June 16?): Scotland
June 16-22: Osterley House
July-ish (4-6 weeks): Pittsburgh
???: NYC, LA, back to London?

And actually it can be more expensive to shoot in a major city, because of all the daily activity that a city has to disrupt that costs money. TDK had a higher budget then BB did. And it was not the reason it may have cost more to use Chicaco filming on location usually can. I loved TDK's Gotham, it had many reasons it was that way, the aesthetic value of cleanliness/financial sector was visually saying that Batman had almost succeeded, in "cleaning up" the city. Making it his ideal Gotham. However it all turns bad by the end, and the look of the film at the end with Dent, represents that. It's not that he is just changing it to be completely different cities, but showing different aspects, and conditions of the same city.

Hmmm, interesting. I can see that. I love TDK´s Gotham too, his Batman movies have such an organic feel to them, while so many directors today abuse green screen.

Scotland? That is news to me. Anybody know the location?

I live in Glasgow, so yes, I know it quite well. :woot:

Excellent choice to be honest. Full of victorian gothic architecture.

You only need to google image search Glasgow buildings and you'll see what I mean.

bane is joe chill's brother

.....or son....
oh no the comics already did this

lolz

I'm all over this. Glasgow is a great, beautiful city, and I've always wanted a Bat fim to use some of the buildings and streets that seem almost lifted from a comic.

This is GlasgowBat, Reporting for ninja duty. Still collecting myself from the dance of joy that was my reasoned response to this news.

Same here. Hopefully I'll be getting some pics or set reports if we ever find out what they're doing.

Let's hope they're not too secretive...

Here here.

Will be good to know that, should I see another stealthy figure sneaking around in a sleekit manner, it might just be yourself and not one of the assembled WB ninja team.

Love that theyre using all these different places for Gotham makes it seem even more enormous. One of my favorite shots in Begins is when Bruce is flying back and they show Gotham, it looks like so massive

I was just watching Begins and I paused it during that clip where they show Gotham. It is freaking enormous, like there are more skyscrapers in Gotham than there really are in the world.
