good lord. 4 posts of the same thing. thats got to be some sort of record. sorry mods.

with regard to the trailer, one of the few things i was disappointed with was the ending shot of the batwing-it was so obviously suspended that it sapped the realism of the shot entire. i wish they had ended on bane tossing batmans shattered mask aside. i also wish bane was easier to decipher. hope i wont have to interpret for my friends when we go see the prologue.

Yep I mentioned this as well. Here's my theory:

The prisoners are allowed to escape when ever they want, but they have to climb that dangerous wall. I think the guy falling could either be Bruce or someone else who attempted to climb the hole before him. As a kind of lead in to show how dangerous it is. It could be like a test. You are allowed freedom if you are worthy. To prove your worth, you must "rise", literally, by climbing the hole.

Which is probably why Bruce has the cane cause he fell.

I'm loving Selina's (?) line to Bruce while they dance. It just totally channels a lot of what's going on in our society today, and yet the film was written before stuff like OWS.

I think this is going to be a damn good film and a good ending. Will it top TDK? I doubt anything can. But will it hold it's own rather than fall? I'm thinking yes.

Interesting. The Bat (Batwing WHATEVER) is my favorite shot in both the trailer and the prologue.

How do you know if you theatre is digital IMAX or not?

If it isn't digital IMAX, it'll be getting the prologue. I heard that the digital IMAX for Mission Impossible is getting the trailer instead of the prologue, which is why I'm asking for confirmation.

The Batwing is clearly inspired by the cars in Blade Runner, Nolan's favorite film. Its movement resembles them, to me.

It was an Ultrascreen, which isn't an IMAX but nearly as big. Yeah it was digital.

I just noticed that the LIGHT GUN DEVICE thingy Batman is holding is connected to the BATPOD! You can see Batman grab it from the pod in the prologue. Also you see it attached, fully lit up, to the batpod as it speeds down that covered freeway. Pretty cool!
