The Dark Knight Rises The Dark Knight Rises Trailer Thread - Part 2

There's a new version out that's a lot clearer, but it has the first 15 seconds chopped off again. Suffice to say I think that'll keep me until the official one comes out.

Because I can't get a good look at the man Bruce talks to at the prison until the trailer is officially released, is it just me or does that man sound exactly like Michael Caine? :funny: The one who says "Rise."
It does sound like him on first listen, but his voice is actually deeper than Caine's if you listen to it a lot. :o

I'm starting to think the people dropping down into the well are mercs/LOS, possibly in a flashback (they all seem to be wearing Arabian/Middle-Eastern-type clothing). And it is in fact Bruce climbing out of the well in the teaser, escaping the prison he seemingly is being kept in.

Conti's voice is so full of win. RIIIZZZZZEEE. I love it.

I thought he sounded more like Palpatine!

:funny:

I just find it funny though. Caine comes up in everything that sounds interesting to be said. Let's start talking about "tangerine" shall we? Or "bandi-h"

That shot of Bane in the tunnel makes me ;ASKD;ASOFLEKMD;ALKS;DK;SKDLLLHSOL in my pants every time. :hrt:

I'd prefer if the Bruce and Bane beef was personal rather than being a by product of Bruce being rich.

I haven't gotten the sense from anything i've read or seen about TDKR that would indicate that Bruce's wealth would be the primary motivation for the conflict between Bruce and Bane, but I would agree just the same that it would be extremely lame.

I'm working under the assumption that Bane is either part of the LOS or working in alliance with them and comes to Gotham to help Talia carry out the League's mission to destroy Gotham.

Regardless, Just the fact that Bane is the one who finally breaks Bruce down physically, makes him confront his mortality and forces him to reshape his entire stance on what Batman stands for is enough of a conflict for me.

It seems to me that Bane was more after Gotham rather than Batman/Bruce. Batman is just a fly that he needs to swat in order to get to the food (Gotham).

Btw, I haven't given my 2 cents on the trailer just yet. I'd prefer to see the real deal before I geek out in comments etc. But a couple things that stand out to me so far is the tone of the movie, Alfred's talk with Bruce even though just a small snippet is very sad and I honestly think I may shed a tear from this movie, even the way he says "...but I haven't." was rough to hear. We've all seen this Bruce Wayne grow from Begins to now so wow. Something about seeing Bruce Wayne with a cane too with everything falling apart around him that will be powerful.

Also, I read some comments about the football scene looking a bit cheesy, I myself found it pretty troubling. It's a straight-up terrorist act with some of those players most likely falling to their deaths(?) or "Ow I'll be in a f***ing bodycast for a year". It also of course serves a purpose and I think it looks great.

I love that shot outside the new Wayne Manor... it looks beautiful. I could only see it properly in the latest bootleg.

There was a shot of the Wayne Manor? Which part?

The WB ninjas must be taking these videos down quick. I have yet to find any videos of this.

The Gordon/Mayor scene with Modine. It's a memorial for Dent. You can see framed photos of him either side of Gordon. The frames have flowers on them.

Man, **** my theater! :cmad:

They played the goddamn teaser instead of the theatrical trailer in front of Holmes! How long until it's officially online?
