2012 is going to be an incredible year.

Honestly, loved the Lord of the Rings to death, but like the TDKR trailer so much more. Great Nostalgia for LOTR definitely hit while watching the Hobbit trailer, but burning desire to watch the movie then and now hit while watching the TDKR one. I still think both will be great though.

I'm not really excited for the Hobbit, but TDKR and Prometheus alone are enough to make me want to lock myself in my room and watch those trailers on repeat for days.

Best year for movies in a long, long time.

TDKR is at the top of my tree, but The Hobbit trailer is simply amazing.

If only Neil Blomkamp could make Elysum by next year...My mind still hasn't processed that MOS is coming out. It's almost a given we'll see our first trailer for that with TDKR. As if we didn't have enough on our minds on that day.

It was an OK trailer. Compared to the first full trailer for TGWTDT, for a recent example, it's not as well thought-out. It's not as good as the first trailer for The Dark Knight, either...

I agree. I showed it to my dad, he was looking forward to seeing it. Afterwards he just stood there, paused for a moment and let out an unimpressed "Hm."

I think it will be a good movie, but in no way will it surpass or even match the quality of The Dark Knight.

Neckless was destroyed during the murder. However one can surmise that the police had confiscated the pearls as evidence and dusted them for prints. They would eventually have been returned to the Wayne estate when they were no longer needed for a trial conviction. Perhaps Bruce had mended them and Selina did steal them. A bit of a stretch in exposition for a mere object that, granted has an important psychological impact, but may not have the significance of a full-fledged plot device. Would be cool though. But regardless it is meant to allude to his mother's necklace in some capacity that is for certain.
