The Joker is still alive? Darn.
Not that I oppose to it, 'cause I don't, but I always felt it was a great justice that Joker died with Batman. There was a certain poetic justice to it, and the Joker being alive kind of diminishes Bruce's death.

Then again, I'm speaking out of my ass, and probably don't even know half the story. Carry on.

Cos of my body of course. Any thoughts on Power Man? I didn't know what his costume was going to be so I based it on the Power Girl colour scheme, with the Superman costume.

I'd like to keep the "P" but keep in in the classic Supe's colors.

I couldn't find any micros to base it on anyway. Oh well, if Byrd's got any grief about it, I'm sure I'll hear it...very vocally.

Ah I didn't get animals. I got human bodies with birds head sewn onto the top...was a fun Christmas, really fun.

DC: New Age Volume 1 Application

Screen Name: Eddie Brock Jr.

Character you would like to play: J'onn J'onzz/John Jones/The Martian Manhunter

Powers: Superstrength; superspeed; endurance; flight; telepathy; shape-shifting; Martian Vision; invisibility; intangibility; regeneration.

Hero/Villain: Hero

Identity (Public/Secret?): Secret

Origin (If not a new character, a recap of events leading to how your character got to what they are today): J'onn J'onzz is the last surviving Martian. He was accidentally teleported to Earth and stranded here. Adopting the identity of John Jones, a police detective, J'onn learned to live among humans. J'onn also operates as the superhero: The Martian Manhunter.

The aftermath of D-Day leaves J'onn feeling abandoned and lonely once again. After losing so many of his friends, J'onn becomes a recluse.

Personality: J'onn is incredibly intelligent and wise. Even still, he never fully shakes that loneliness which plagues him. His feelings of being alone in this world are only amplified by the death of heroes around him.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1) SuperFerret applied (and was subsequently accepted) as J'onn, but he never made it to the IC thread. This gives me a clean slate to work with as MM.

2) Someone has to play a pivotal role in establishing the new Justice League.

3) J'onn is one of the original Leaguers, and he is one of the few survivors of D-Day. As such, he has seen a lot, and his experience will only benefit the younger heroes around him.

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you plan to do with the character you've chosen (i.e. What are your goals? Will you be doing anything different with the character than is usually seen?): I wouldn't say that I'm doing anything drastically different because, frankly, J'onn isn't the type to change greatly. While he has become slightly moodier, he is still very level-headed - a trait that will be important in assembling the JL.

How did you find out about this game, Recruitment thread/word of post/seeing the RPG OOC/IC thread? I was actually here from the beginning. I just ducked out for a little while.

I still remember the day that the Mars rover mission reported back that there was no intelligent life on Mars. To most, this seemed like an obvious confirmation of something that was already known. But to me, J'onn J'onzz - the last surviving Martian - that news was devastating. Those were terrible days.

Twenty years ago, this planet faced massive devastation at the hand of Darkseid. I saw many comrades fall in battle. Even more troubling, I saw many innocents caught in the crossfire. The world wasn't the same after that day. In many ways, it affected me almost as much as the Mars mission.

I moved from place to place, doing the only thing I was good at - running. It seemed that exile was a 'quick fix' for all of my problems. But one day, it hit me. I've already lost one civilization - I cannot sit back and lose another. Men like Luthor have made this world a dangerous place, but new heroes are springing up. Together, we can make a difference.

Personally, I wouldn't like to see Terry McGinnis as Robin. This is based of the comics continuity, so having Batman's own brother being his side-kick makes better sense than him taking in a seemingly random teen to participate in the illegal vigilantism.

Isn't AVA the name of the anti-metahuman agency?

Ok ok. I got mixed up when you said AVA. AVA is the name of the act that was put into motion by President Luthor, but as far as the agency that is enforcing it? That was never established.

I for one, after talking to byrd, would like it to be Checkmate. He expressed the idea, and I saw eye-to-eye with him. Which works out very nicely, because the entire time I was thinking of stuff with Rick Flag III, I wanted to throw Checkmate into the mix. And if Checkmate is the agency enforcing AVA, then that would be great.

The way I saw it, it would be a U.N. organization like the comics, and with the rule of two. The way that works, is that for every meta-human in Checkmate, there must be a human in the royal family (hierarchy). So the meta-humans involved in Checkmate would obviously be registered ones.

The Question I believe first introduced this idea a while back, and it was discussed as far as who would be the royals...but it was never officially decided and implemented. How about we do so now?
