I'm not sure why DeathStroke wasn't given a chance to develop. You could do a John Wick level Deathstroke movie and it would probably make money.

I think Deathstroke is one of the characters they're being very cautious about (similar to Black Adam). Done right it could be massive. I feel bad for Joe but after everything that has happened I don't think he's a jumping off point for the character.

But I'm sure Deathstroke is still something they're monitoring for the big screen.

So, that HBO Max DC series that Ava DuVernay is involved with? DMZ? Rosario Dawson is now joining the cast:

Rosario Dawson has been cast as the lead in the upcoming HBO Max pilot “DMZ,” which has Ava DuVernay on board as a director.

The prospective series, which is based on the DC comic books of the same name, hails from showrunner and executive producer Roberto Patino, and is described a futuristic drama set in an American civil war. Filming on the Warner Bros. Television pilot is set to begin in early 2020.

I think Deathstroke is one of the characters they're being very cautious about (similar to Black Adam). Done right it could be massive. I feel bad for Joe but after everything that has happened I don't think he's a jumping off point for the character.

I hope Deathstroke does get another crack at the big screen. The character is very popular and I don't think you'd have to spend a lot of money on the film. I think Joe was good casting and the suit at the end of JL looked cool but I'm thinking that they'd go with a bigger name or more of an up-and-comer if a DS movie happens.

If it were up to me, I'd do a Smokin' Aces style flick with a bunch of DC's best assassins. Bring in Deathstroke that way, along with Will's Deadshot, Bane, Lady Shiva, Talia, etc. Have them all going after the same hit.

As a twist, I'd have the hit be Matches Malone, whose name wouldn't be revealed in any marketing. Have audiences believe it to be the real Matches as the film unfolds, only for the end reveal to show it was indeed Bruce in disguise. Introduce the new DCEU Batman that way.

Hire Guy Ritchie to direct.

Yeah I know he's not for everyone, but I've enjoyed the majority of his work. He's just really brash and I dig it for the most part.

Though the presentation is for distributors and theater owners, but we might get some reports from those who see it.

Yeah the Matches thing was more of a playful suggestion. I'd be totally fine with a different target. It's more about bringing these bad guys together and letting them be bad guys in a way that still allows us to root for some of them. Plus I wanna see Will's Deadshot again.

I would see it different to SS. I'd split the focus between the Protagonist trying to escape a city while all the A list assassins/killers are trying to do him or her in before they can make it.

The Mandalorian basically but with A List villains chasing.

I'm just saying a more grounded story about some bad guys trying whatever to reach they're goal sounds more like what SS should've been rather than the generic save the world stakes movie they made the first movie and whatever wacky GotG movie they're making with the 2nd one.

Jimmy saunters through the film unaware of all the master assassins trying to kill him because they keep sabotaging each other.

Smh I’m remembering the silly Snyderites trying to say that Snyder left hints that BVS Jimmy wasn’t the real Jimmy. Snyder fully intended for that to be his version of Jimmy.
