Yep. The memes are super gross, WW84 may not have had the warmest reception but so many people are getting up in arms and mocking her for actions that we applaud male directors for. We all think its awesome that Matt Reeves walked away from The Batman for a minute 'til he got what he wanted and personally Jenkins patronizingly responding with a wikipedia article about character arcs and then rage quitting feels like an admirable act of sticking to her guns.Eh, I also feel like certain folks are jumping the gunn. No pun intended. Women are so easily and often labeled ''difficult', especially in hollywood studio system. I have no doubt she will let her side of the story be known.
The fixation on her "obsession" with Steve Trevor and Chris Pine is also... something. Of course that was always going to be a focus? It's maybe the best romance in a superhero movie apart from Reeve and Kidder and the primary reason that first movie works so well? I wonder why people are so up in arms about the concept of a woman director being focused on telling a love story in her movie!
