To be fair , outlets like Variety , Hollywood Reporter, and Deadline are the ones who've reported this stuff , and they're a pretty respected and reputable trades.
Also to be fair, Gunn still hasn't said Gadot is returning or that WW3 is happening, he hasn't said Ezra is done after Flash, he's been iffy on the status of the Suicide Squad etc.
So he hasn't exactly slayed all the dragons ,and debunked some of the major sticking points.
What I believe is happening , is that the trades are getting inside information about the deliberations from different factions inside of WB, probably from factions who don't agree with the new regime.
They're leaking different ideas, and different suggestions that may have been spit balled, or considered, but that were either rejected or not agreed upon.
I suspect alot of these insider leaks, are meant to make the new leadership look bad , or at the very least, force WB or Gunn, to have to respond to the chatter, which in itself is a distraction.
