That was a great episode!
I completely agree with Gunn. Let's stop wasting time on origin stories and hit the ground running. We don't need to redo Batman's/Superman's/WW's origins again. Let's move on to something fresh.
I really need comic book nerds to exercise even the slightest bit of critical thinking, because the second Gunn said he wouldn’t be going origin-crazy, I knew he was largely talking about the big guns like Superman and Batman.
Also lol at telling the guy behind the GOTG trilogy that he’s running the risk of going too niche and alienating the general audience.
I’m iffy on whether Wonder Woman’s origin is as deeply ingrained into our collective consciousness as the other two that they could get away with not addressing it, but I do think they wouldn’t have to dwell on it either.I completely agree with Gunn. Tudyk has already said the way he's playing Clayface in Creature Commandos is different than how he portrays him in Harley Quinn.Alan Tudyk is kind of underwhelming, I like him but he isn’t as much of a chameleon as people claim. If his live action Clayface is anything like his animated one I’m going to be real bummed.
I also wonder if this will be Reeves-verse or DCU.Alan Tudyk is kind of underwhelming, I like him but he isn’t as much of a chameleon as people claim. If his live action Clayface is anything like his animated one I’m going to be real bummed.
Flanagan needs to get to work on The Dark Tower, that’s what I really want to see.

People tried to rebuke this by bringing up all the projects Gunn announced were in development in that 2023 announcement. But there is a difference between announcing projects that are in development and greenlighting the production of projects that aren't ready... I think that is what Gunn is pointing out here.
Yeah, it's likely Sgt. Rock.Needs to be Sgt. Rock. That was last week, right?
