I believe when you see S.H.I.E.L.D.'s map where it highlights where certain individuals are located, there's a dot right next to what appears to be New York, which is Cloverfield's location. So, I guess that confirms that the military did not kill Clover.

I heard someone mention a namor easter eggs right about the time they enter the oracle building...not seen the movie since so might be something to look out for.........apparently there are a few references to namor
