Willis and Schwarzenegger Confirmed For Expendables 2

With production set to begin next month on the Lionsgate sequel, Deadline is reporting that Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger are set to return for The Expendables 2 in expanded "subtantial" roles.

Set to be directed by Simon West, the follow-up to the 2010 hit is currently pulling together its action hero cast with Sylvester Stallone as Barney Ross at the base. As of now, no other actors have been confirmed, but many of the original film's cast are likely.

Co-written and directed by Stallone, The Expendables also starred Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, David Zayas, Giselle Itie, Charisma Carpenter, Gary Daniels, Terry Crews and Mickey Rourke.

Willis is currently shooting G.I. Joe 2 and, after The Expendables 2, plans to tackle Die Hard 5. Schwarzenegger, long absent from Hollywood due to his political career, will, following the sequel, headline the Western The Last Stand, set for production in early 2012.

Is Stallone still trying to get Lautner in this? I sure as hell hope not. I don't care that he's in the Twilight movies (a paycheck is a paycheck), but that kid is a TERRIBLE actor.

Of course, I guess that means he would fit in with half of the cast of this movie.

Saw the first one twice in the theater. It's cool seeing these guys on the big screen, but i hope this one is actually a better film overall. The first one could have been a better movie.

Yeah agree about the first one, I actually found The A-Team to be a better action movie personally, E1 doesnt have that much to bring you back for re-watches.

Most of the action in the raid of the castle was very repetitive with someone jumping down to kill a guard and plant an explosive. It was so boring to see this 30x.

You can blame most of that on Couture. All he did was those stupid suplex moves on every guy he came across, was pretty lame.

I also thought the whole sequence when Stalone and Statham went down on the recon mission was awesome. I've wound up watching the first one several times.

I sure hope Willis&Arnold gets some action in this one,Willis needs to be in a shoot out and Arnold needs to gear up"commando"style and have a shoot out on his own against The Expendables and then have a brawl fight one on one against Stallone!!

I didn't think most of the action in the castle raid scenes(except Crews&his gun/Austin vs Stallone/Li's stuff and the shoot outs outside)were that great But I wouldn't say too repetitive and it did not ruin every scene of the castle raid for me!

I liked Couture's fighting scenes But I think he could of done more and one superman punch would have been enough!
