I'm with you ... I hope we get to see Stallone and Arnold go at it. I think that is something people would freak out over.

Would love to know why the Rock is not in this!!!!!!

Isn't Crews younger than Rock and Rock's around Statham&Couture's ages??,Reason is most likely..Just not offered a role and might be busy with other films after G.I Joe's 2 filming anyway!

Eh,I never thought Sly or Arnold were that bad at acting..Especially Rourke&Willis!!!

I'm sure somewhere in the world (Australia), dude love just creamed himself. As did I. We did in unison.

:awesome:

Most of the action in the raid of the castle was very repetitive with someone jumping down to kill a guard and plant an explosive. It was so boring to see this 30x.

I actually loved that part because of the sombre yet heroic tone of the score.

I felt nothing during that scene cause I just couldn't get into it, there was poor build up. Same for when everything was blowing up, it was all the same.

All we need now is Jet Li asking for a pay raise again in this movie & we are good to go

I will say the lighting was utter sheet during that scene. But agree to disagree. :cwink:

I enjoyed the end battle scene, but I thought the way Eric Roberts went down was weak. I love how in action movies, you can blow up, gun down, stab and beat up about 200 guys in a display of carnage that would realistically wipe out an entire city, yet somehow their wimpy leader always manages to sneak off with the girl and put a gun to her head. It ensures a letdown ending.

Still looking forward to Expendables 2 though. They need to get Nick Cage in there. He's probably still trying to work off some debt somewhere. They should cast him as the villain.

^ That's part of the beauty of those 80's action movies ... Gotta love it

I would love Cage to be the villain in this but in full Fu Man Chu make up.

Can't wait for this. Just watched the first one again last night, and it just doesn't lose its fun. I still giggle like a kid when Crewes mows down the bad guys with that AA-12!

^ That scene still puts a huge smile on my face. It also sounds so awesome with the surround sound cranked.

You remember this **** at Christmas! That still makes me laugh, it has become a commonly used phrase amongst my friends.

I think that Arnies crew will be the BlackWater types....corporate assassins

too bad bruce lee or brandon lee weren't alive to be in this.

i know brandon lee would have fit right in.

Looks like JCVD and Chuck are in. Eh, I could care less about Chuck. Nic Cage could be very interesting. They need another black guy though.

When The Expendables hit theaters last summer, it seemed like virtually every action star of a certain age dropped by to flex their biceps and kick some keister. But apparently writer-director-star Sylvester Stallone still thinks there’s room for more macho men in the upcoming sequel. In a recent interview with EW, Stallone said that not only would Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger have meatier parts the second go-round, but that he’s also added Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme to the mix and, fingers crossed, we may even see Nicolas Cage and John Travolta getting in on the mayhem, too.
Prior to the first Expendables, we reported that Stallone had been rebuffed by Van Damme when he offered him a part in the all-star cast, which included Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren, and a who’s who of other hulking he-men. But now the Muscles From Brussels is saddling up. “We’ll have a big showdown between me and Van Damme, which has been anticipated for a long time, so it should be a good one,” says Stallone, who heads to Bulgaria at the end of this month to start shooting. The movie is aiming for an Aug. 2012 release.
This time out, Stallone is only working in front of the camera. Directing duties will be handled by Con Air‘s Simon West. Which, come to think of it, may have had something do with luring another new Expendable: Nic Cage. “We’ve got Chuck Norris and I think Nic Cage,” says Stallone. “We’re trying to work out different scenarios. I like using people that had a moment and then maybe have fallen on some hard times and give them another shot. So we’re always looking for actors like Michael Biehn and Michael Pare. I like those kinds of guys. Someone did it for me and I like to see if I can do it for them. We also need some new blood in there, a Navy Seal-type, because with the Expendables none of them have 20-20 vision anymore. They need some help, man.”
As for reports that Travolta may also join the expandable Expendables cast, Stallone says, “It’s possible. The one thing I’ve learned is what is a fact on Monday is a complete fallacy on Tuesday. A lot of it is scheduling. It’s not financial. It’s just that Bulgaria is definitely a jaunt. It’s a commitment, you know what I mean? Especially in the dead of winter.”

Still no word on Donnie Yen, losing more hope by the day. Seems highly unlikely by this point.

Has it been confirmed if everyone from the first film will be returning? Like Jet and Dolph?
