Btw, from what we've seen of Barry's speed powers, do you guys think that he could take on and even defeat and Mirakuru enhanced Slade?

I liked it a lot. Is that a famous cb story teased at the end, a crisis in ten years where he's missing? O yuss!

it's strange to me after the pilot leaked and got positive reviews that the next day CW puts out it's schedule and it features The Flash heavily
Most interesting
Looking forward to seeing other episodes

I believe he could, after that amazing feat he did Slade shouldn't be too hard to defeat

Well that version of Slade would not know how to take on a Speedster. So Flash wins the fight.

Does Grant remind anyone else of Chris Evans when he says
"It's a little snug"
? I love the way Amell says
"Cool". Its totally out of character of Oliver but Stephen has so much fun with it he still sells it.

Saw the Pilot and can't WAIT for the series!

I wonder though...if the reputation of Dr. Wells and company, along with Star Labs itself, got tarnished after the explosion, how is it that they have any funds or money to continue with doing anything over there as we saw?
Well, if you think about, they went from paying hundreds of big salaries to a total of three salaries. They probably still have some money. Also, Wells strikes me as the kind of guy who has some major money.

spoilers and speculation...
I'm definitely thinking Wells is the Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash. Eddie Thawne is his descendant from the past. Remember who else was in a wheelchair? Hunter Zolomon before he became Zoom. I wonder if Harrison Wells/HG Wells/Eobard Thawne's fake wheelchair in the past is a throwback to Hunter Zolomon. Wells as Thawne is a lot more interesting than Eddie as Reverse Flash. I really can't wait to see how all this unfolds

What if they're both versions of Zoom and Barry has both of them gunning for him? Though I am thinking Eddie being a descendant is a likely scenario, perhaps something happens to him that could be perceived as Barry's fault?

I'm also really curious to see who they have killed Flash's parents.

I really hope they do something similar to the new 52, as I do think thats a good part from it.

I do hope time travel isnt' a big thing though, till 2nd or 3rd season, and that the consequences are massive, physically and mentally on him.

I really dislike when they show him running up close, just show me the blur, everything else looks cheesy, and it more looks like he's tripping on acid than he does running when it's that front view.

Grodd - Have no idea how they plan on doing it, but by golly I am excited. One of my favorite villains, because it does remind me of planet of the apes, but there aren't many villains that are like him in his conquest.

I also wonder...as I feel some of flashes villains are more campy if they will ever go that route.

Yeah the world is in danger of being destroyed, the skies turn red, and during the incident Barry Allen dies fighting to stop it, Wally then takes up the mantle of the Flash afterwords.

Crisis on Infinite Earths

It seems Arrow producers are doing another character fake out, if
Wells comes from the future, maybe he is the real Zoom/Reverse Flash Hunter Zolomon instead of Eddie... this has so much potential, Wells as RF could be one of the DC shows best characters and story arcs.

I really liked it but they need to cut that bit out when barry says "lightening gave me abs?" like wtf dude your thin and scrawny and you think those things are abs lol.

At least he isn't being played by DJ Qualls.

The pilot is an absolute mess. Can only get better and I have faith it will improve as Arrow has. I just didn't expect it to start this badly. Truly awful scripting.

I hope your not one those people that thinks the show is bad but continues watching it under the guise of "sticking it out and hoping it gets better" only to keep coming on here and complaining about it.

Perhaps Wells is not a villain and he came back in time to try and save The Flash? It's still possible that Thawne is the Reverse Flash and has travelled back in time. What better way to hurt your enemy than to date the love of his life? Also that newspaper at the end confirms that at some point he will get the logo with the white circle so people can stop complaining about that now.

I thought it was a decent pilot. The Arrow pilot was definitely better but I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I think the whole "Wells is Zoom" thing is one giant red herring, at least in regards to the classic portrayal of Zoom. Perhaps he's Hunter Zolomon, as he has that whole "making The Flash a better Flash" thing going on. Personally, I hope that we get the big "Thawne is really Zoom and killed Barry's mother!" reveal WAAAY down the line, at least a few seasons in. Let the audience get to really like this guy, then BAM! Knock 'em dead with that twist. Sure, the comic fans will see it coming, but we're just a fraction of the whole audience.

I'll offer my honest opinion as long as I'm watching but may very well give up on it as I did with Agents of Shield. Some of my favorite TV shows had terrible pilots and I'd class this as very poor but it wasn't all bad. Just messy. The plot threads in the Flash pilot are definitely interesting if the standard of writing improves. It seemed impatient like they wanted to skip past introducing supporting characters and setting up the universe but they've done it in it a very hap hazard way by cramming a sequence of events together. The dialogue with the ''run'' puns and constant references to Barry being slow was really overdone. But if they imrpove on these points than it could be a great show.
