Whereas Iris. . . even when she acts as a reporter, she doesn't seem to be any great shakes at it. Not as bad as Kara Danvers, but still. And it almost never comes off as important or useful to the stuff Team Flash does. Sure, she can provide info-gathering on "mundane" activities, but the team has several police-affiliated characters who can do anything she's done, better. Its not like she's Lois Lane, where part of her premise is "I am the best investigator in the city".

Kara Danvers does actually go out and interview people and cultivate sources. And has had important articles published. Alien fight club, Cadmus abducting aliens, Slaver's Moon, Biomax. Things a real reporter does.
When was the last time Iris did anything important as a reporter that mattered to the people of Central City or affected their lives?

I think they should just embrace that Grant is skinny and fit it closer to his body. Though they want him to be comfortable obviously lol.

I'd be surprised if they don't have two versions of the suit... one a little baggy for when he's running about on screen and a tighter, more detailed one for when he's just standing around on screen

I'm guessing he was probably moving around a lot for that shoot. Give him more room to move around.

The costume definitely looked more fitting for Grant's physique when he wore in last season's future episode.

I'm sure they could always make minor adjustments to make it more complimentary to his natural built later on down the line, but it's definitely a step in the right direction.

Now, Barry can say that he has a better looking costume than Wally's on this show. I kind of wish that we would have seen him dressed in this outfit when he went up against the Reverse Flash.

I think the BIGGEST improvement is the new belt. It actually looks like something the Flash would wear and doesn't look like the cheap plastic one that he's been wearing for the last 3 seasons.

It's amazing seeing the two side by side. The original looks so dismal. Especially when you think it was designed by whatshername who does all of the original suits and a lot of movie suits.

Way better than the BBQ tone with the original suit. It's starting to look like a Flash suit now.

So if there are any future evil speedsters, will they use a differently-colored version of this outfit instead of the original outfit?

I agree. I wish they'd gone with more spandex and less leather, instead of going with less spandex and more leather! I'm not sure why a speedster would need to wear that much leather. A suit that was the same kind of fabric as Superman's on Supergirl would have been good to see.

They're definitely the best quality we've gotten regarding the reveal of his new costume for Season 4. Thanks for the link.

I hope that now he has a new costume that this means that they won't be recycling close up shots of him running. Unlike his last two costumes where the only big difference was the red and white emblems, there's a lot more noticeable changes when compared to his new outfit.

I really hope that the show is able to get back on track and really wows us with our first legitimate season long villain that isn't a speedster.

the suit looks great much more better than the old suits.

The red is more apparent but i wouldn't go any brighter than that. I feel brighter colored superhero suits make them look less realistic, whereas the darker approach is somewhat more believable.

I also hope with the new suit means becoming more powerful too, especially if they do a time lapse where barry has been in the speedforce for awhile, growing and becoming more in tune with his powers.

Huh, on the matter of new costume and recycled shots. . . I wonder if part of why they are switching up his costume is *because* they plan to produce a new set of establish shots? They've decided its time for them to redo the reusable CGI, and so time the costume change to go along with it.

They keep saying the same thing each season and it's just on steady decline. Unless they do a complete reboot back to how it was in Season 1 and grow on it, there is nothing to be excited about this season.
