Oliver's color of choice was explained. Kind of. Barry speculated that it was an homage to the environment he trained in before becoming The Arrow.

Helena specifically asked Oliver to include purple in her costume's design because she's fond of the color.

So does that mean Cisco is fond of the color red?

I assume he just thought it would be appropriate if firefighters wore red.

That doesn't explain all the lighting motifs and ****, but whatever.

Cisco put a lightning bolt on the final suit, he just thinks they're cool, no explanation needed.

I wasn't referring to the symbol or the earpieces.

EDIT: After looking at an image of the suit before Barry wore it, I can see now that some of the more obvious motifs were indeed added after Barry first put it on.

Are we really discussing why the suit is red? Or trying to come up with explanations as to why it is and why Cisco made it red? Wow haha

I think one of the things that works best about the Reverse Flash suit is that they didn't try to explain the yellow at all. They just made the thing ****ing yellow, and nobody has had to ask why anybody would wear a yellow suit. It just fits with the world that they're building. No explanations needed.

The explanation is implied, with Reverse Flash being from the future and fixated on the Flash who is Red with Yellow lightning, and Reverse Flash has red lightning. Anyone who saw themselves as a reverse of the Flash in such a case would either be an idiot, or make a yellow costume. Just because something is cool doesn't mean it doesn't benefit from actually fitting organically into the world, and just because something is thought out, like Reverse Flash being yellow, doesn't mean that it has to be spelled out, either. Being cool is cool. Being internally consistent and cool is always more awesome than just being cool.

I like the combing of Thawne's costume and Daniel West's costume for this version. It's yellow and not organic like the West version, but the black undertones and demonic red eyes and voce are clearly a shout out to the West version. I also think its funny how, if you had told me a year ago, that Tom Cavanaugh, the actor known for comedic/light roles in Scrubs, Yogi Bear, and Ed, would be playing Reverse Flash, I would have thought it sounded really stupid. However, Cavanaugh works amazingly in the role. He's one of my favorite DC live action villains, and It's cool that Cavanaugh is really getting to stretch his acting legs and play a role completely against his type.

To me that's just an indirect explanation to a question that no one ever asked.

With Helena, that just seems to be the best answer. Simply, the character just likes that color because all of these superhero costume colors don't make much sense (not that they were meant to anyway).

"[BLACKOUT]Harrison Wells is just a guy who wants to get home[/BLACKOUT]", Tom Cavanagh said in the PaleyFest panel today.

We've talked about this before:

[BLACKOUT]Do you guys remember Harrison talking to Caitlin about Martin Stein wanting to go home (home = Stein's wife)? This leads me to believe that Harrison's final goal is to save his dead wife (via time travel).[/BLACKOUT]

Looks like either Bart Allen or Wally West may be coming in Season 2

In comic book lore, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) is just one of a number of heroes who have tapped into the speed force, granting them superhuman speed. Executive producer Greg Berlanti said they hoped to bring in Wally West ( Kid Flash and ultimately the third Flash in the comics) or Bart Allen (the second Kid Flash) into the fold for season two.
"That's our hope. We've already been picked up for a second year. If we were going to do something like that, we'd do it next year," Berlanti said during a The Flash Paleyfest panel Saturday.

The panel opened with a sizzle reel teasing the upcoming lineup of villains, including Mark Hamill as The Trickster, psychic ape Gorilla Grodd, and Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) as the menacing Reverse-Flash.
But perhaps the biggest surprise came with footage of Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) showing a potentially villainous side. Fans have noted similarities between his name and that of comic book bad guy Eobard Thawne (AKA Professor Zoom and Reverse-Flash). So far in the TV series, he's been largely a stereotypical perfect guy. In the new footage, he punches Barry out of jealousy, because Barry has expressed his feelings for Iris (Candice Patton) once again. He also fires a gun at two police officers, suggesting he's gone over the edge.
The show has plenty of other things on its plate, as it dives into time travel for the first time over the next two episodes, and if Barry succeeds in traveling back in time and saving his mother's life, team Flash might be altered or even cease to exist.

"There are concerns that if certain events change in the past, it will change who everyone is," said executive producer Andrew Kriesberg. "What's really interesting about that stuff to us is what's emotional about it."
Another series mystery that will be addressed soon is why Det. West's (Jessie L. Martin) wife and Iris' (Candice Patton) mother has yet to be seen. A future scene will allude to it, with The Flash delving more into the story next season.
Viewers concerned for the civil liberties of the metahumans being kept in STAR Labs' prison without due process can also breath easy.
"We see a scene of how they are tended to," said Kreisberg. Added Berlanti, "We deal with the implications of them being judge and jury by the end of the year."
Stay tuned to The Live Feed for much more from The Flash over the coming days.

I said from the beginning that I suspected that [blackout]Wells[/blackout] was none other than [blackout]Hunter Zolomon aka: Prof. Zoom[/blackout] and there is plenty of evidence that seems to support that especially him in the wheelchair and his access to futuristic tech.

I also think that the real one responsible for Barry's mother death isn't Wells but Thawn and when Barry went back in time he altered time and forced Wells to come back in time and correct history there by remaining in this present time to see that Future remains in motion.

There was a Promo for The Flash at the start but it was not shown in the livestream. I Think it had something to do with Grodd and Det. West.

Does anyone know where I can find a online version of it?

Well's plan is identical to the old script.

He created an alternative timeline by travelling back in time and killing Barry's mother, and wants to return "home", to his own timeline, which he can only accomplish by stealing Barry's speed, which is why he needs Barry to tap into the Speed Force.

The General is a meta human? :shock

About that trailer...
Soooo. looks like Eddie is evil..

I am dreading the appearances of [BLACKOUT]Ray and Laurel.[/BLACKOUT] Two of the worst elements of Arrow being dragged over to the far better show for a week. :( Do we know which episodes they're going to be in?

The non-Arrow related stuff in that trailer though :hrt:
