Flash might get away with a musical but no way would Arrow. It's hard enough taking seriously a bloke dressed up as Robin Hood fighting crime with a bow and arrow. If he bursts out in song it would kill it.

Flash doesn't take itself as seriously is a lot brighter and a bit more fun.

Still don't want a musical though.

Only show that can pull them off is Community.

buffy pulled it off 14 years ago.

they can still do a musical episode even if amell doesn't want to sing. he can be the one character that refuses to sing throughout the whole episode.

What if... we find out that the 1990 show exists as a parallel universe? In this alternate timeline (one of infinite possibilities - multiple earths), Barry Allen looks exactly like Henry Allen, Barry's father in the 2015 timeline. So, the 1990 show exists, and Barry is played by John Wesley Shipp, and he fought that timeline's version of The Trickster 25 years ago (Mark Hamill).

I have a feeling, just by knowing how geeky and cool these writers/producers are, they would TOTALLY have that in mind. Not to mention Tina McGee DOES exist in this timeline and is 25 years older than she was in the other timeline.

I feel like this is ABSOLUTELY setting up a Crisis on Infinite Earths, and can even be intertwined with Flashpoint.

A musical episode wouldn't fit Arrow, but it'd be perfect for The Flash. I mean, the dude has three music-oriented villains.

I generally dislike musicals. The only ones I ever went to live, I went to because of some girl.

But I did find myself enjoying the Music Meister episode of The Brave and the Bold. I'd be down for a musical episode of The Flash if Neil Patrick Harris were involved.

The only times musicals have been good, it either involved The Beatles... a lion named Sinba... Aladdin... or marijuana.

And Nazis.

Don't forget the Nazis.

But if this show did decide to do a musical episode, I'd tell you all to suck it up and deal with it. Buffy's was great. Supernatural did a good one too, though that really wasn't a straightforward example.

I hate all musicals...

If this show did do a musical, it wouldn't be you telling us to suck it up, it'd be the show producers telling us to suck it up ;)
And going by their record so far, I'd give it a shot!

But Arrow has one of the best singers on its show in the form of John Barrowman.

And it could be done in a Flash-Arrow crossover, which would allow the tone to be different, and wouldn't have to feature Amell as much since he's the spoil sport who's too cool for school.

Didn't know this was happening, but...

Yeah, I wouldn't want to see it either.

That's exactly what I thought of.

Still, wouldn't fit the tone of Arrow. It's not as kitschy as Community or Buffy or Flash. A better fit for Flash. A MM/PPiper team up could be, in short... music to my ears. And the lead character can actually sing, as we well know.

But Arrow has one of the best singers on its show in the form of John Barrowman.

So their big annual Arrow/Flash crossover would be an ultimately irrelevant gimmick episode without Arrow in it?

With how Season 3 is currently shaping up, my stance is the less Arrow, the better.
