Is it just me, or has it been 3 episodes in a row, where Eddie either hasn't appeared or had an actual role in the plot?

Yeah. I wonder if the producers realized how little he adds to the show and are trying to figure out a way to make him more relevant and interesting. Because so far, IMO, he's been the weakest part of the series. I don't really want to blame the actor for that (though he doesn't really come off like a very convincing cop to me); I just think the writers don't know what to do with him.

I sometimes wondered if Eddie was the REAL Reverse Flash, jumped into the future (current time) to witness the 'birth' of Flash and lost his powers in the interim.

He then promises Wells the use of his legs again if he works to a plan with Barry, and lends him the suit to do so...

Oh well that ship sailed long ago...

Started watching this after watching Arrows first two seasons. I like it.

So given that Ray Palmer and Felicity are making a trip to Central City near the end of this season, does this photo mean that we'll be seeing Firestorm making a trip to Starling City?

Hard to tell, really. I mean, they are related, so they might have just been posing for a picture together in their superhero costumes.

“His name isn’t an accident… Eddie’s connection to Reverse-Flash lore is going to pay off big time” — Andrew Kreisberg at the TCA 'The Flash' panel, 2015.

I hope he's right.

Yeah, I'm sure there will be some big reveal somewhere down the line. I just think that, for the time being, they don't know what to do with him other than make him the doting boyfriend to Iris or the idiot partner to Joe.

Wait, so we're on another break? When does the next episode air?

Right?! Thankfully theres gonna be 2 new episodes of Arrow before a mini 2 week break and then they both return. They cant take the Flash away for to long though, its the only thing distracting me from our lack of DCCU news.

So apparently Cisco and Joe West are heading to Starling City within the near future.

Couple of things I have just noticed by skipping through scenes of 1x07 (power outtage) that should be deliberated about with our current knowledge of the story up to 1x14:
- the reverse flash paid Joe a visit at the end of 1x06, so he is currently present in this timeline.
however: when wells was hit by the lightning, there was no transfer of speed force unlike when barry was hit by it.
Coincidentally, this was just before Barry regained his speed.
Combined with the fact how desperate Wells seemd during his search for references for The Flash and Barry Allen in the 2024 newspaper issue via Gideon definitly hints at his dependency of Barrys speed canon-wise.

From what I remember, Wells was not hit by lightning at all. His wheelchair got hit by lightning, he fell, and before the lighting could actually hit him the second time, Barry got back his powers and saved him.

You're right, it looks like it was actually only his chair that got hit.

You know, given on how Barry has improved so far with his speed and skills..I think he would at least have a chance on defeating Mirakuru injected Slade Wilson.

It sucks that there is a break, I wanted to see the reverse flash again next week. Anyone else think the promos for next episode spoil a lot of the surprises for that episode? Like seeing Wells project himself in 2 places at once, so we know how he did it. Also the fact that Wells is doing it for Cisco. There is a difference between a teaser and just giving away some interesting moments. I know I don't have to watch them, but curiosity gets the better of me.

Well you only have yourself to blame them for watching the promos haha.
