Just a simple medallion. He already has it around his neck, when they find him underneath Star Labs. It really has no significance whatsoever.

My question is how and why did future Barry tell present Barry to stand down?
IMO there would have to have been an alternate timeline where Barry saved his mom and something bad happened. Otherwise I'm confused on why he was told to stop when his intentions were to save his mom.
As for Eddie I think he will be sucked into the worm hole with future Barry who will revive him.
I took it that he has seen the world where he did and it went bad, i.e. Flashpoint. I also think they will either show us glimpses of that world through Cisco with him been able to see alternate worlds or they weren't allowed to as they are saving it from a feature.
Where does Barry's chin guard come from when he puts on the cowl? You don't see a chin guard when he the cowl is off. Just a minor nitpick.
Well, the original Wally was an interesting legacy character. the New 52 version was just a black version of Jason Todd the second Robin.
Yeah I know. Same way Batmans eyeshadow disappears or Robocops chin guard when he takes off the helmet.
Or 3, now that Wells has been erased from existence when Barry comes out of the singularity we will be in the world where Barry's mum survived.
No not necessarily. First off Wells or the Eobard Thawne isn't dead and why because Eddie never died. I'm sure you're thinking yes he did we saw him shoot himself and die and along with him Wells. This is all very true.
However if Eddie kills himself then that means Eobard Thawne was never born and thus could never travel back in time as he did and set forth the events we see transpired. Because he never does this Eddie would never kill himself and thus means that Eobard Thawne is also very much alive in the future.
The black hole you see opening at the end of the season finally was going to destroy the world because of the paradox that now existed. You had event's that have transpired because of a man who no longer existed. So the time line was being destroyed and a new one would take it's place. What that new time line is we won't know till next season.

I don't think that season 2 will necessarily be in the original timeline pre-Nora's murder. That timeline always results in the change into the fatal paradox timeline we saw in the show. It may as well not be a factor as the result is always the same, a broken timeline. I think the comments from Grant Gusting about exploring multiple Earth's and timelines could be because the timeline is irrevocably broken at that point and they need to fix it. Perhaps Rip Hunter isn't just in the Legends of Tomorrow series?
Reverse Flash is from that timeline and it's in that timeline that he decides to go back and murder her. It always results in the change into the shows timeline.
You seem to have misunderstood. I'm talking about before Barry tries to fix things next season. Right now that seems to be the situation (without any other alterations). I wasn't talking about any changes that may occur in season 2. Though I did speculate that season 2 could be about them trying to fix the timeline rather than being set primarly in the original timeline.
