I don't really buy them going with Barry as the main-villain, and if he was indeed Zoom, he would have probably no troubles to go after him himself - time travelling is an old shoe in the DC universe and is usually doesn't pose a problem for more versions of the same person to be in the same place and/or time.

I think/hope that it will turn out to be a future Wally, it would fit better with how the story is currently presented.

Both Atom Smasher and Sand Demon were shown to have "Earth 1" counterparts, though. The only reason Atom Smasher's was even dead is because he murdered him with his own hands. And Sand Demon literally walked right by his doppelganger when he attacked Joe.

Both Atom Smasher and Sand Demon were shown to have "Earth 1" counterparts, though. The only reason Atom Smasher's was even dead is because he murdered him with his own hands. And Sand Demon literally walked right by his doppelganger when he attacked Joe.

Yeah... Did they ever explain in any way why Smasher had to kill the innocent Rothstein, but Sand Demon arrived on Earth an we didn't get the same occurrence, or at least we didn't see it?

Atom Smasher is probably just violent, I assume he accidentally ran into his double, when he was looking for radioactive material, and simply killed him before he could raise any alarm. In reality, they probably couldn't think of a better way to introduce the double ganger mystery.

It would be sad if that was the reason. It makes that a total non-sequitur of a plot occurrence, since we didn't get a real sense of Atom Smasher's personality in general. Feels like poor writing in general.

I just love how Jesse L. Martin plays Joe West so wonderfully level headed and smart. He reminds me of Cory's parents in Boy Meets World, real and honest, with human emotions and feelings.

It's crazy how a kid's comedy and a comic book show can do a parent(s) better than most drama films/television shows.

And I am definitely looking forward to having Cavanaugh back in the mix. His absence has been sorely felt these past few episodes. They haven't been bad, but he really brought a weight to the show that managed to help elevate the material.

Agree. Tom is one if the many reasons I never gave up on watching last season. Seeing him back in the game is really gonna bring amazing scenes forward.

Jesse is another one of the actors, along with Cavanaugh, who I've found can take some of the more cringe-worthy dialogue the writers will come up with and make it work. They really did do a great job casting this show.

Yeah it's their styles in their delivery that sells it. If it were given to another actor it wouldn't match up. I also think Danielle did a better job in her delivery. Grant is getting better at those voice overs. Carlos has layers in each episode. Most of the cast is improving. Jesse and Tom are on another level though.

Pretty cheap of them to reuse the same exact CGI Flash they used for the Gorilla Grodd episode from last season. When he's being choked by King Shark, it's the same exact CGI.

This is the best I could find of the Grodd episode, but you can see its close to, if not, identical.

Kinda lazy of them imo, still pretty neat for a one off. But not as exciting as others make it out to be.

Btw, Iris' mom is a Beeeeee-otch.

Consider for a moment the amount of vfx time and episode budget that must've went into creating King Shark and rendering him into the scene. I'll let them slide on the Flash himself in that scene Because that was far from a cheap shot due to King Shark and he looked amazing.

Figures that they wouldn't plan on doing a King Shark episode, something that effects heavy basically would make it a matter of having a Grodd episode or a King Shark episode with no option for both, and Grodd wins every time. Hope we get to see him have some small roles in episodes from time to time though, would be a shame not to since they went to the trouble of designing and building a CG model for him.
