I'm wondering if Atom Smasher went after the wrong Flash in the premiere, and Zoom may be a version of the Rival whose real grudge is with Jay, with Zoom being a villain from Earth 2 it seems like Jay would be who Zoom's referring to when he tells Atom Smasher to kill The Flash.

Was thinking that might be too. Jay is what Zoom wants and Barry might have been who he thought. Jay knows about the next meta pretty well based on the trailer.

This is definitely a thing that needs to happen.
yeah I said the same but I think a help support system way to help others that aren't in doing crime but understand what happened to them and how to better control their powers would work well too other that saying theyare seeking out the meta's and as Katlin said to help them is kinda lost. both Ronnie andvstein as fire storm needed help and when she eventually become killer frost and hopefully live past that event she's need that same kinda help too.

This was the point I was trying to get at with Atom smasher seeing he was a hero and justice Leaguer's as other said. yeah I know he was the villain of the week. but looking at event's like plastique firestorm and what may soon happen with Katlin. It makes sense that they have way to help meta's that are into crime be a school or support group. there has to be more then a jail cause not all of the other Meta's are evil as they have shown especial since they are using character that are supposed to be justice league members

there has to be more then the prison for meta's both the 4400 and Heroes and even anime series dabbed in english of late , kinda beat the main comic's we grew up with on this area and they kinda need to catch up there.

Not gonna sugar coat it... The premiere was very middle of the road for me. It felt like half wrap up of last season REALLY truncated and half set up for the big arcs this season and the episode suffered for it. Gustin NAILED it with his emotions when [BLACKOUT]Wells confessed and he got to finally get Henry out... And then that emotional high is deflated by Henry's decsision to leave. It made no sense and it's a HUGE missed opportunity. To see Henry at least live a while with his grown son who is also a super hero would have given the show many chances at both humor AND drama.[/BLACKOUT] But this mostly all felt a bit forced at times and also, with [BLACKOUT]Barry's guilt over Ronnie being resolved or overcome or whatever in 45 minutes, it felt very much like it was drama for drama's sake[/BLACKOUT].

This was very meh for me. Still... The cast and overall the show itself is strong and I am VERY much looking forward to what is in store. This first episode just didn't do it for me.

The only thing I'm wondering is why doesn't zoomean just try to kill Barry himself as opposed to having villains from Earth 2 do so? I mean is he preoccupied with something more important to him?

Probably because he wants Barry to be stronger instead of... dead. Just a theory, though. If he wants Barry to die, then yeah, it makes no sense.

For a tv show, I think the CGI is pretty good.

I think episode 2 is going to better than episode 1...

a new ability, patty spivot and zoom first appear... and mutch more jay garrick

A lot of people have noted that a good deal of episode 1 seemed to be them wrapping up what storylines were still lingering from season 1 and moving on from that, episode 2 seems to be the full kick into gear for season 2.

the CGI is very bad in this season... firestorm's head while flying to the portal... and there was something else I noticed but I dont remember now...

and the the zoom trailer... that portal...

not that I really mind... I just think it is weird...

Don't know what you're on about, it all looked perfectly fine to me.

I don't really see any Reverse Flash in that costume, the details are all entirely different apart from the symbol.

I think the similarities are incredibly obvious. The outfits don't appear to look exactly the same, but you can't tell me that you don't see a blue Reverse Flash when you look at that image.

We really haven't seen a lot of Zoom. But in that picture right now, the only difference between Zoom and Reverse Flash, are the colors and covered mouth. Maybe once we get a proper bodyshot of him, we'll see more differences.

That's like a million times more of a difference between Reverse-Flash and Zoom than in the comics.

Yeah, I mean... Reverse Flash, Zoom, all the "dark speedster" nemeses and characters usually look like a gloss on the general Flash costume design.

All these FIRESTORM villains and not once have Firestorm faced off against any of his rogues's gallery.

He hasn't been superheroing at all yet, just helping himself and his friends. He saved Caitlin and her friends once, attacked the guy who captured him, left town to figure his powers out, came back to help Barry, then sacrificed (half of) himself. Firestorm Vol. 2 will be an active superhero in Legends, so maybe there.

And they're using these Firestorm villains because they're almost exclusively "lab accident" villains and that's the show's concept.

...yet. Firstorm hasn't fought his own rogues yet.

Now looking at Zoom vs RF, the layout that we can see of his suit does have several similarities: the shoulders and collar look roughly identical, with seperate sheets of material being molded into the collar, shoulder and upper arm pieces, and he does seem to have the classic Flash earpieces. The biggest immediate differences I can see right now is that they do seem to have changed the texture of the design, the color scheme and the mouth, like they said they would. What we can see of Zoom's costume looks like it's tighter across his chest, and his shoulders especially show a pebbled texture.
